Harbin Hongqiao Middle School is located in Harbin, known as the "Ice City of the North". It grew up in a realistic soil where Chinese and Western cultures blend. It is adjacent to the Heilongjiang Provincial Convention and Exhibition Sports Center and is located on the east and west sides of Nangang Economic Development Zone Nangzhi Road.
The school was founded in August 1997. It is the first nine-year primary and secondary school in Harbin.
In September 1997, it was named Harbin Hongqiao School.
In September 2012, the primary and secondary schools were separated, and the school was divided into three and officially changed its name to Harbin Hongqiao Junior High School.
Since its establishment, the school has developed rapidly and its scale has continued to expand. In 2016, the school developed into three campuses: the first campus at No. 117 Huanghe Road, the second campus at No. 285 Nanzhi Road, and the third campus at No. 136 Cross Street.
The school currently has 84 teaching classes, more than 4,000 students, and 325 faculty and staff.
The school has complete facilities, including basketball courts and football fields. The classrooms are equipped with multimedia teaching equipment, electronic whiteboards, computers, and projectors.
The campus is equipped with electronic monitoring systems, electronic punch-in and attendance equipment, electronic card readers and other modern equipment, realizing information management.
There are multi-functional lecture halls, multimedia classrooms, teachers’ electronic lesson preparation rooms, student computer rooms, language rooms, physical, chemical and biological laboratories, teachers’ book reading rooms, student book reading rooms, electronic silent libraries, fully information-based recording and broadcasting classrooms, etc.
It is equipped with various functional activity classrooms, such as art activity room, music activity room, etc., which provides a platform for students' quality development.
