This film describes the knight Godfrey and his attendant Lafripuy, who are played by Jean Reno and Christine Clavie. Due to the wizard's mistake, they were thrown into modern times from AD 1 122. They were surprised by modern facilities such as telephone, car and bathroom, and performed a series of jokes. Director Jean-Marie Poire is good at highlighting and exerting the role of actors, and pays attention to the eclecticism of humorous words, burlesque and Gaul humor. The film "played" with the "time difference" for thousands of years, made full use of outdated customs and habits, and focused on the surprise of medieval tourists when they faced the ugly experience of the modern electronic world. It uses many special effects perfectly, so it becomes an interesting thriller.
