In "Hongmen Banquet", although Sima Qian cherished words like gold, in addition to leaving records of wine and food such as "卮wine" and "彘shoulder", he also described the scene of "wine fighting". Fan Kuai went to see Xiang Yu. King Xiang said, "Strong man, I will give him some wine." Then he fought with him on wine. Kuai thanks, stand up, and drink. It is not difficult to imagine that in those war-torn years, wine was an aphrodisiac for killing each other on the battlefield. Both the murderer and the murdered would use wine to increase their pride and courage. In a life-and-death banquet like the "Hongmen Banquet", where a single move can affect the whole body, the power of wine is particularly powerful. Therefore, at the "Hongmen Banquet", although both parties secretly have their own agendas, they must not drink less wine, and there is no reason not to drink good wine. Therefore, Sima Qian's "Hongmen Banquet" left the historical allusion of "wine fighting and pig shoulder fighting" for future generations.
