Prepare the main ingredients
One pound of mutton slices, half a cabbage, and a few vermicelli
Prepare the auxiliary ingredients
An appropriate amount of salt, an appropriate amount of sesame paste, Appropriate amount of aniseed, appropriate amount of Angelica dahurica, a piece of ginger, a little coriander, a little MSG
Preparation method
First soak the purchased mutton slices in water, so that they will be more tender when rinsed. After soaking for a few minutes, we drained the water, washed it again with clean water, drained the water and put it in a basin for later use.
Next, we add an appropriate amount of water to the electric pot, add aniseed, angelica root, ginger slices, MSG, and an appropriate amount of salt. Then turn on the electric pot and boil the water over high heat. After it boils for a while, we just need to turn the heat down a little and keep the water boiling. It is best not to cover the whole lid and expose a little bit.
We pour the prepared sesame paste into small portions into bowls, and pour into several bowls depending on how many people there are. After pouring it, we add some soup from the pot to the sesame paste, and then add an appropriate amount of salt. Use chopsticks to stir the sesame sauce. This sesame sauce will be used to rinse the mutton slices for dipping. If you like hot sauce, you can put some Laoganma hot sauce in the bowl for better dipping.
Wash an appropriate amount of coriander and put it into the pot to remove the fishy smell. Then we start to rinse the mutton slices. Pick up a piece of mutton with chopsticks, then put it into the pot and rinse it once. When you see the mutton piece changing color, wait for a while and the mutton piece will be cooked. It tastes very good when we dip it in the sesame sauce in the bowl. Everyone can just pick up the mutton slices in front of them and eat it. When the sesame sauce is finished dipping, we continue to pour some sesame sauce for dipping.
Remove the hard parts of the cabbage, leaving the tender vegetables inside, then cut it into sections with a knife and put them into the pot. Wash the vermicelli with water and put it into the pot. After a while, the vermicelli and cabbage will be ready. We picked up vermicelli cabbage and mutton and ate it together without feeling greasy at all. Isn’t this delicious mutton hotpot so simple? If you don’t have an electric pot at home, you can also use a rice cooker to boil water.
Why does it feel like only first-tier cities can afford it?
