Suo Ying, female, was born in Beijing in 1922, Manchu. He studied at Fu Jen Catholic University and later went to the University of Minnesota in the United States to major in nutrition. Returning to China in 1950, he successively founded the Tuberculosis Hospital of Peking University Hospital, Ping An Hospital, and the Nutrition Office of Xuanwu Hospital. He served as a member of the 6th and 7th CPPCC Beijing Municipal Committees and the deputy chairman of the Beijing Nutritionist Society of the Chinese Medical Association. He is currently the chief nutritionist and director of the French-Chinese Food and Gastronomy Association, a member of the Expert Committee of the China Health Food Association, and a member of the Well-known Expert Committee of the Beijing Old District Association.
