When traveling and shopping in Korea, most people will go to Myeong-dong, Dongdaemun, Hongdae, Ewha University, Linsu-ro, Samcheong-dong, and Insadong.
Personal suggestions:
1. Myeongdong - Lotte Department Store - Namsan Tower (Seoul Tower)
-> All Korean local cosmetics are concentrated in In Myeongdong, there are also some small fashion brand clothing stores, and the most important thing is Myeongdong roadside stalls!
-> There is Lotte Department Store next to Myeongdong (duty-free shops on the 9th to 11th floors)
-> Myeongdong is very close to Namsan Tower. It only takes a taxi to get to Namsan Tower without traffic jams. Starting price required
2. Gyeongbokgung Palace - Cheongwadae - Samcheong-dong - Insa-dong
-> You can see Cheongbokgung Palace from the back door of Gyeongbokgung Palace, and then go from Cheongwadae to You can walk down to Samcheongdong. Samcheongdong is very close to Insadong and can be reached by walking.
-> Samcheong-dong and Insadong have many traditional Korean things and a lot of delicious food. They are places where young Koreans go for dates on Sundays.
3. As a Chinese living in South Korea, my conscience recommends that if you don’t go to Dongdaemun to wholesale clothes in large quantities in the middle of the night, it is actually not recommended. Clothes in Dongdaemun are not cheap, and some of the unbranded ones are almost as expensive as department stores (of course, it’s good to check them out if you have time). Compared to Dongdaemun, I personally recommend Lin-su Street (Ladies Street). There are quite a lot of works by individual designers, as well as some small fashion brands. It is also a place that young Koreans like to go on weekends.
I hope the above helps you^^
