First of all, Spirited Away is not about aliens, but a story about an imaginary world, or a world of gods. The full name is Spirited Away.

Spirited Away is the work of Japanese cartoonist Miyazaki Hayao, and Miyazaki Hayao has always insisted on hand painting to protect children's dreams.

From Chihiro's point of view, a single little girl wants to express to children the educational idea of being calm, fearless and brave when encountering difficulties and crises.

From a macro point of view, I want to express the idea of environmentalism to the whole society (just like the history of thought in many works of Master Miyazaki Hayao): the river god went to Tang Popo to take a bath covered in mud and searched for a lot of human domestic garbage. This is a typical example.

Another aspect is to warn human greed: Chihiro's parents became pigs. Eating and drinking without others' permission, without restraint. This is a satire on the insatiable greed of human society.

Only Chihiro, who is pure and kind, keeps this pure childlike innocence and is not eroded by desire.
