Baquan Gorge is a Taihang Mountain scenic spot in Huguan County, Changzhi, Shanxi. The Baxian Gorge we mentioned last time is located in the upper reaches of Baquan Gorge. Every summer, more and more people come here to escape the heat and enjoy the cool air.

On the way to the destination, I was attracted by the scenery along the way and couldn't help but stop to admire it. Xiaoqi was also drenched in the light rain with water droplets all over her body.

Xiaoqi's handsome appearance has become a sight in the Grand Canyon and attracted many people's attention.

The mountains are surrounded by clouds and fog, and the peaks are so steep that they seem to reach straight into the sky.

Baquan Gorge has a total length of 11 kilometers, the highest altitude is more than 1,400 meters, the lowest point of the ravine is more than 600 meters, and the maximum drop is 800 meters.

There are eight springs on the cliff at the north entrance. The water flows continuously all year round. The fountains and waterfalls fall straight to the bottom of the valley and form eight streams of water flowing out, so it is named Baquan Gorge.

The mountainous peaks, miraculous cliffs, rocks of various shapes, green forests, gurgling springs, and crystal-clear pools perfectly combine the masculine beauty of the northern mountains and the feminine beauty of the Jiangnan water towns.

In 2019, it was promoted to a national 5A tourist attraction.

Although the fog on the top of the mountain was particularly thick, no fog formed on the road in the valley. Xiaoqi also saved the trouble of turning on the fog lights. The daytime running lights that turned on when ignited were its eyes during the day.

The highly recognizable front face and the linear daytime running lights under the headlights are like the smoky makeup painted by a beautiful woman.

It happened to be raining in the afternoon when we arrived, and the temperature outside the car was so low that it felt chilly. When we arrived at the scenic spot, we chose a local B&B. The B&B had an elegant environment, surrounded by rolling hills and mist, making it like a fairyland.

?The next day we bought tickets early in the morning to enter the scenic spot, took a commuter bus and went through the time and space tunnel to the center of the canyon. We needed to take a boat from the starting point of the canyon dam to enter the depths of the canyon. Due to less light in the canyon, there are many creeks and it is difficult to walk.

Arrive at the top of the mountain and take the cable car to reach the Baquan Gorge Cliff Elevator, known as the City in the Sky. It is a fully open mountain-mounted steel structure open-air elevator. The steel frame shaft is not enclosed and is installed along the wall of the steep mountain.

Climbing to the three-story fully transparent glass terrace "City in the Sky" at the top of the elevator is thrilling and offers a panoramic view of the majestic scenery of the Grand Canyon.

Let me just say that the cable car in the scenic spot is also very special because it has a right-angle turn halfway up the road. I also like to call it a curved elevator.
