My first thought was of the Folk Art Museum of the China Academy of Art designed by the Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. The entire museum is located on the mountain from high to low. The roof draws on the black tiled slope roofs of traditional Jiangnan architecture. It is well-proportioned and blends in well with the surrounding natural environment.
It is coordinated and consistent with the architectural culture of the region. However, if you peel off the skin of the building and look directly at the internal space and even the structural structure, it is not difficult to find that this is an out-and-out modern building.
It can be said that this project has successfully integrated the characteristics of Chinese architecture into modern architecture. Although it is a little deliberate, the design and completion are all above the standard.
