Ingredients: 1 onion, half a thumb-sized ginger, 2 cloves of garlic, 1 tablespoon of tomato paste, 200g of diced beef, 200ml of water, 100ml of coconut milk, 1/3 can of spice paste, appropriate amount of chopped coriander. Method: Shred onions and garlic.
Chop finely, mince ginger, and dice beef.
Add 2 tablespoons of oil to the onion and sauté for about 2 minutes. Add garlic and ginger and continue to sauté.
Add Patak'a MADRAS SPICE PASTE (If you can't buy it, you can use stock cube + Indian spice powder instead or use: ground coriander 1/2 tbsp + ground cumin 1/2 tbsp
+ turmeric powder (ground turmeric) 1/2 teaspoon + chili powder? teaspoon + stock cube can also be used).
Add water and add tomato paste (you can also use fresh diced tomatoes or canned tomato cubes instead).
Add the beef and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes (it’s also great to add vegetables such as white cauliflower and green beans to cook with it).
Add coriander, season with salt if it is not salty enough, and adjust the spiciness with coconut milk (it can also be replaced with yogurt).
