On a scorching day, young reporters from Ningbo Evening News and I visited Lu Xun’s hometown with infinite respect for Mr. Lu Xun.
We followed the narrow stone road to Zhoujiaxintai Gate, located on the west side of Dongchangfangkou.
Lu Xun spent his childhood and youth in the Xintai Gate of Zhoujia, leaving intriguing traces for people.
Xintaimen faces north and faces south, with blue tiles and white walls.
Enter through the two black and shiny Shikutai doors facing the street of Lu Xun's former residence, and pass through the small patio. There is a mud-floored door room, which was the place where Lu Xun's family used to store transportation.
There are sedans and oars on display.
Entering from the side door of Taimendou, there is a well.
The water in the well is so clear and cool.
As soon as you put your hand into the well, you will feel very cool all over, as if you have entered a cold world.
There is a small tree beside the well, like an open green umbrella, protecting the well from wind and rain.
After passing through the long corridor, we came to Osmanthus Mingtang.
There were two lush golden osmanthus trees originally planted here, so it was named "Osmanthus Mingtang".
There is a large round table under the sweet-scented osmanthus tree. It is said that when Lu Xun was a child, he often lay on the table under the sweet-scented osmanthus tree to enjoy the coolness in the scorching summer sun and listen to his step-grandmother telling him stories... After passing the sweet-scented osmanthus hall, we came to Lu Xun’s bedroom and study room.
There are ironwood beds, tables, chairs... It is said that after Lu Xun returned from studying in Japan, he often prepared lessons and wrote here when he was teaching in Shaoxing.
Passing through the patio, you will see the well-preserved two floors and two floors of Lu Xun's former residence.
There was a reception room there, where Lu Xun often received friends and classmates.
In addition to tables and chairs, there is also a leather recliner on display in the reception room. It is said that it was the original piece that Lu Xun's father used to rest when he was ill.
In addition to the living room, there are also his mother's bedroom and his wife's bedroom... Suddenly I remembered a description in Lu Xun's "From Sanwei Bookstore to Baicao Garden": There is a large garden behind my house, which is said to be called Baicao Garden.
The garden... it seems that there are only some weeds in it; but it was my paradise at that time... I wanted to take a look, so I strolled to the Baicao Garden.
The Baicao Garden is actually just an ordinary vegetable garden, where a variety of melons, vegetables and fragrant osmanthus trees are grown... The tour guide sister introduced: "When Lu Xun was a child, he often went to the Baicao Garden to play with his friends.
In this small world, I catch crickets, watch ants carrying flies... and I often catch birds in the snow in winter!" After listening to the introduction, I seemed to see Lu Xun playing here and heard his laughter.
After passing Baicao Garden, we came to Sanwei Bookstore again.
This is the place where Lu Xun once studied.
I found the word "Morning" in the lower right corner of Lu Xun's desk, which I found strange.
Later, after listening to the account of the tour guide sister, I found out: It turned out that Lu Xun was late for school for some reason and was severely criticized by his tutor, so he secretly carved the word "Morning" on the lower right corner of his desk with a knife to encourage himself.
I deeply admire Lu Xun's spirit.
Visiting Lu Xun's hometown arouses more admiration for this great writer, thinker and revolutionist.
Jishan is evergreen, mirror water is evergreen.
Lu Xun's awe-inspiring righteousness and high integrity will remain in the world forever, which will inspire us to study hard, grow up, and make unremitting efforts for the prosperity of the Chinese nation.
