Xinxiang University Town is located in the area bounded by the east section of Hualan Avenue, the east section of Jinsui Avenue and Xinzhong Avenue in Xinxiang City. It is a first-class university park in Henan Province and can accommodate more than 100,000 students. It houses 6 universities and 5 undergraduate colleges.

The schools are: Henan University of Science and Technology, Xinxiang Medical College, Xinxiang College (the merger of the former Xinxiang Normal College, Pingyuan University, and Xinxiang Education College), Xinxiang Medical College Sanquan College, and Henan University of Science and Technology New Science College.

A technical college: Henan Mechanical and Electrical College.

Latest situation: It is planned that the roadside shops in University City Market will undergo comprehensive rectification before the end of 2015. Contracts with merchants have been signed.
