Take a stroll, cross an artificial "moat", and gaze at the exquisite and unique small arch bridge. Beiyang Garden is located on the east side of Tailei Road, corresponding to Beiyang Square.
Its overall style is elegant and heavy, without too many flashy carvings or colorful colors. Only the spirituality of the water, the gray-white of the stone, and the green of the grass and trees are in sight: surrounded by a bay of water, it embellishes the aura of agility and nurtures
The buildings and sculptures not only vividly display the simple and dignified sense of history, but also imply the strength and persistence of Lord Tian. The tall trees of different shapes and neatly manicured lawns are fresh, natural and vigorous.
An interpretation of Tian Daren’s youthful vitality.
The current Beiyang Garden was rebuilt in 2005 on the eve of the 110th anniversary of Tianjin University.
It integrates the vicissitudes of the history of Weiwei University and integrates squares, sculptures, gardens, and fountains. It is an "open-air museum".
The landmark Beiyang Memorial Pavilion stands majestically in the garden, symbolizing the tallness and breadth of "Beiyang"; the Three Gorges Stone inscribed with "Dreams Come True", the sculpture of "Reading Girl" with "Concentration" and the eight flat squares in the garden
The stone plaque engraved with the school motto "Seek truth from facts" seems to warn students to adhere to the truth, study hard, inherit traditions, and serve the country.
As the biggest highlight, three groups of fountains with different shapes are distributed in the garden, becoming the main theme of Beiyang Garden. They either "bloom" like morning glory, or form a slender and graceful water forest, creating a mist-filled dream.
Dynamic yet romantic.
When talking about the 1980s and 1990s, people will never forget the lush and lush scenery of Beiyang Garden.
Before the 110th anniversary of the school, people may have stopped in front of the sundial donated by the 1999 graduates to count the passing time... Now Beiyang Garden has become the "birthplace" of flourishing campus culture.
The area around the Beiyang Memorial Pavilion is now the largest square in our school, where various colorful celebrations, exhibitions, arts, and sports activities are often held.
The scenery of Beiyang Garden is different in four seasons, but the most common thing is beauty.
