Let's talk about making cakes first. When I was a child in the countryside, making my own cakes was generally an important event such as the birthday of the elderly, the wedding, and the one-year-old child. It's usually done in the early morning. Steamed glutinous rice is put into a stone pot while it is hot. The men at home beat it with wooden hammers over and over again. The hammer has beaten the cake many times and the surface has been smooth. Women turn the glutinous rice balls with their hands dipped in water, while men raise their hammers, so that the cakes made will be fine and have no particles, and men and women need tacit cooperation, otherwise the progress will be slow. After the glutinous rice is completely turned into glutinous rice balls, it is crushed into small pieces and rolled into a circle under the cover of cooked red bean powder or soybean powder, just like a donkey roll. It is best to finish the cake within a few hours after it is finished. It is soft but not sticky, and it will eat a lot if you are not careful. It was not until the morning after the cake was made, and it was on the plate of the noon ceremony. Glutinous rice products are best matched with salty food. Koreans are of course kimchi with lactic acid bacteria, which is easy to digest and not easy to accumulate food. Making cakes is not only a snack, but also a "dish" and a "staple food". It is eaten with other dishes on the table, so it will be eaten with kimchi.

Besides making cakes, there are all kinds of "jiaozi". The skins made of rice flour and glutinous rice flour have salty stuffing and sweet stuffing. There will also be green with wormwood juice, yellow with pumpkin juice, pink with strawberry powder, black with cuttlefish juice powder and other colors. Wrapped in the shape of jiaozi, it is said to be jiaozi, but it is actually more like an ancient gold ingot, and it will also be used for offering tables.
