Now is not the season for ginkgo viewing. Recently, I have been paying attention to several villages in Wudang District. The tall ginkgo trees planted there will become a good place for ginkgo viewing in the month of March.
Let me introduce to you the situation in Huanglian Village.
How to get to Huanglian Village: Start from Xintian Village in Wudang District, follow the northern section of Xintian Avenue, pass through Yunkai Secondary Highway, and exit at Yangchang. The whole journey is about 35 kilometers and takes about 40 minutes to reach Huanglian Village.
The best time to view the ancient ginkgo trees: from late October to mid-November. The thick ginkgo trees can be seen from 200 meters away.
At present, the diameter is more than 2 meters, and it requires four people to hold it up.
It is said that a local old man said that this ancient tree is indeed thousands of years old.
Walking further down this ancient tree, you will immediately see a plank road built locally. In autumn, some golden ginkgo leaves can still be seen on the plank road.
It is also on the plank road, attracting the most people to take photos here.
There are three large ginkgo trees planted here, and the other two trees are about 1.5 meters in diameter.
There are also some small ginkgo trees, which are as big as small buckets.
The ginkgo trees here start changing color at least in November.
Huanglian Village Travel Guide Huanglian Village consists of two villages, Pipa Village and Baishiyan Village, a Buyi ethnic village in the mountains of Wudang District.
It is also here that you can buy ginkgo nuts, sweet potatoes and other specialties. Of course, the farmhouse delicacies here are not to be missed.
Huanglian Village, Yangchang Town, Damu Village, Liutun Town, Xiuwen County and other places are good places to enjoy ginkgo.
For tourists on the anti-congestion route departing from Guiyang city, it is best to take the Hangzhou Road and turn onto the Yunkai Secondary Highway instead of passing through Xintianzhai in Wudang City to avoid causing traffic jams or being stuck on the road.
