"Chuan Chuan Xiang" first appeared in Chengdu in the mid-1980s. Not long after Chongqing hot pot entered the Chengdu catering market, the cost of opening a hot pot restaurant was still very high, so some people who didn't have that much money opened some restaurants in order to make a living.

Small hotpot stalls were set up near busy places such as shopping malls, movie theaters, and video studios, and then strings of chuanchuanxiang appeared.

In 1995, Ms. Xiao, the founder of Yulin Enterprise, introduced the hand-held "Ma, Spicy, Hot" from the streets of Chengdu into the Cathedral, combined it with the characteristics of hot pot, and pioneered "Chuan Chuan Xiang", and opened the first "Chuan Chuan Xiang" in Yulin Community, Chengdu.

Popular in Chengdu, this is the most famous "Yulin Chuan Chuan Xiang" in Chengdu.

"XX Chuan Chuan Xiang", "X Ji Yulin Chuan Chuan Xiang" and countless others are derived from various residential campuses in the city.
