I recommend two, one is Iceland and the other is Yamagata Prefecture.
Iceland. My favorite country must be unique and rare in natural features, and it is iconic. I am not interested in the city. I have been to Paris for eight times, but I have never seen Paris seriously. In front of nature, it is called magnificent human civilization, and I think it is nothing in the long life of the whole earth. Iceland is such a country, it is an alien planet on the earth.
In March this year, I took wedding photos for my friends in Iceland. I took them to the wreckage of the plane, and walked for two hours in the night at MINUS five degrees. Finally, I took a wedding photo under the aurora. After the photo was taken, we went back to the hotel and showed it to my aunt in Iceland. My aunt cried and said that it was very cute to see someone taking a wedding photo under the aurora in Iceland for the first time in more than 5 years.
and yamagata prefecture in Japan. There is Yinshan Hot Springs, the location of Spirited Away. At night, you can soak in the hot hot springs and feel the romantic street scene like a fairy tale. When most people travel to Japan in winter, they will choose Hokkaido, Sapporo and Otaru to see the canal or ski, but there are too many people there, which is not as quiet as Yamagata Prefecture.
from December to February every year, it snows heavily here and becomes a fairy tale world wrapped in white. Miyazaki Hayao animation Spirited Away and the Oscar film "The Embarrassment Teacher" were filmed here. The ancient hot spring street is built around the river, and the buildings here are full of great contemporary customs. The thick snow in winter covers the hot spring street more beautifully, and people who come here are like sitting on a time machine.
The buildings here are wooden structures from the late Taisho period to the early Showa period. Together with the incessant gurgling sound, the mist lingering in the air, and the fairytale snow, it is as beautiful as a fairyland.
Walking in the ancient hot spring street, you must not miss soaking in foot soup or bathing in the same bath. There is a "Helezu soup" at the entrance of hot spring street, which is free. It is inevitable that your feet will get cold after walking in the snow for a long time. You can take off your shoes and socks here!
it's super pleasant to let your feet soak in hot springs and enjoy the snow scene at the same time! The most famous hot spring in Yamagata Prefecture is the "Rattan House" designed by Mr. Yu Yanwu. He likes to use bamboo, wood, paper, stone and glass as the main architectural elements, which is simple and fashionable. His hot springs have five different characteristics.
Yamagata Prefecture is a small town. At present, there are only about 15 hotels in the town, so it's best to book three months in advance every winter, otherwise it's easy to sleep on the street. Yamagata Prefecture is located in the northeast of Japan. If you leave Tokyo, the Shinkansen can reach Oishida Station in 3 hours. As long as you stay in Wenquan Town, the store will send a car to pick you up, and you can reach Wenquan Town in about 4 minutes.
