Crocodile eggs are rich in protein and low in fat and cholesterol. Crocodile is one of the earliest and most primitive animals found so far. It appeared in the Mesozoic from Triassic to Cretaceous (about 200 million years ago) and was a fierce vertebrate reptile. It is a contemporary animal with dinosaurs and belongs to carnivorous animals. There are 23 species of crocodiles recognized in the world, and crocodiles are wild animals with high ecological, scientific and economic values.
Therefore, some countries in the world actively develop crocodile farming. Crocodiles have a long face and a long mouth. As crocodiles say, there is a so-called king of the world. Crocodile eggs are rich in protein, low in fat and cholesterol, and have nourishing function. Most people don't know that crocodiles usually take 8- 10 years to reach sexual maturity and start laying eggs. Adult crocodiles only lay eggs once a year, and only one nest of eggs at a time.
Strict control
Moreover, mature female crocodiles don't lay eggs every year, and some of them are intermittently produced, and the interval of production suspension is 1~2 years. Due to environmental factors, some crocodiles spawn for only a few weeks. For example, Chinese alligators and Australian crocodiles, while some kinds of crocodiles lay eggs for months. For example, the spawning period of the whole population in Crocodile Bay and Crocodile New Guinea lasts for 6 months or more.
The incubation period of crocodile eggs is generally two to three months, and the incubation period of different crocodile eggs is different. Artificial incubation will shorten the incubation time. The temperature and humidity of the crocodile egg incubation room are strictly controlled to ensure that small crocodiles hatch in the best environment. Generally speaking, only about 40% crocodile eggs can hatch successfully in the wild, while the hatching rate of artificial culture is as high as 90%. At present, the incubation technology in the base has reached 99%.
