On October 31th, Macao added a confirmed case of imported association and an asymptomatic infected person with imported association
The novel coronavirus Infection Response Coordination Center of Macao indicated that Macao added another confirmed case of imported association and an asymptomatic infected person with imported association on October 31th.
According to the survey data, the first patient was a 68-year-old female, a Macao resident, and the wife of a 69-year-old male who was positive for nucleic acid test announced in the early morning of October 31th. Those who were classified as core close contacts due to the positive result of her husband's self-made rapid antigen test received medical observation. On October 31th, the result of nucleic acid test was positive, and they were classified as input-related confirmed cases due to discomfort symptoms such as fatigue, and they have been arranged for isolation treatment in Gaodinggong Health Clinical Center. Because the patient has a long-term illness, the husband is mainly responsible for the needs of life, and denies going out recently, so the risk of community transmission caused by confirmed cases is low.
The second patient, a 77-year-old male, a Macao resident and a retiree, lives in Tianyige, a diagonal lane in Crazy Hall. He had a meal at Tangji Gourmet from the morning of October 25th to 27th, and had the same activity track as the taxi driver who tested positive for nucleic acid on October 28th. However, because the breakfast fee was paid in cash and there was no consumption record, it was not listed as a person to be controlled.
On the morning of October 31th, the patient was positive for rapid antigen test, and was sent to the special emergency department of Yan Piaget General Hospital for nucleic acid test, and the result was also positive, so he was classified as an asymptomatic infected person due to no symptoms. The patient and his family have arranged for isolation treatment and medical observation at Gaodinggong Health Clinical Center. The nucleic acid test results of the patients on October 28th and 29th were negative, so the risk of community transmission caused by the confirmed cases was low.
