Unfortunately, it was cloudy in the morning and we did not see the sunrise over the Ergun River. We continued to move along 331 to The small town of Shiwei. Along the way, we still followed the Ergun River eastward. The Russian grasslands were on the other side of the river. Although there was only a river between us, we could see the completely different cultures of the two countries: for example, we would roll the finished grass into rolls, while Russia piled them in haystacks.
Soon, Shiwei arrived. This is a port town. Affected by the epidemic, the port has stopped opening, so it looks relatively depressed. I heard that before the epidemic, there were many Russians here every day. People work and live here, but it is still full of strong Russian flavor. Most of the buildings are in European style, and even the B&Bs are often named after "Lena House". Standing on a high mountain, you can see two small towns in two countries separated by a strip of water, facing each other across the river. I hope this epidemic will pass soon and everyone can return to normal life. After visiting this small town, we will go to Genhe, the coldest pole in China.
To go to Genhe, we need to turn back and pass through Ergun City. I would like to remind you that there is no need to go to Ergun Wetland Park because the beautiful scenery is on the road. money! When we arrived at Genhe, it was already 4 pm. We found a restaurant in the city center and ordered a famous Northeastern dish: pig-killing vegetables. This dish contains pig offal, as well as the special delicacy blood sausage, served with sauerkraut and vermicelli, and the soup is thick and sour. It is a great dish to go with rice. I ate two bowls of rice by myself! Even though this is in Inner Mongolia, it is very close to Heilongjiang, so the life and culture are very similar to each other.
From September 15th to November 15th every year, Hulunbuir and the Daxinganling area have entered the fire prevention period. All vehicles entering and exiting need to apply for fire prevention certificates and have to wait until after 7 pm to leave the city. This is what an elder sister told us when we were queuing up to leave the city, so we returned to Genhe City, applied for a fire prevention certificate, and queued up again to wait to leave the city.
As soon as 7 o'clock in the evening arrived, a long line of traffic rushed into the distance. We also ran towards our destination - Mangui. We encountered old problems again along the way. The road conditions were too bad. Due to the frozen soil, the foundation sank and the road surface became wavy lines. At first, our little Lavida was following the local cars in the first echelon, but soon it ran out of power. , fell behind, and I was turned into a fool along the way. My head was buzzing and hurt, and my neck was rattling. Finally, in Jinhe, we decided not to rush forward tonight and continue to sleep in the car. To be honest, it is indeed extremely cold. The temperature here is even lower than that of Mohe. It is really extremely cold! (Looking at the news these days, it should have reached more than 40 degrees below zero!)
