Located in the western suburbs of Suzhou, it was founded in the Southern Dynasties with a history of 1400 years. Belongs to the Lin Ji school of Zen. It is famous all over the world because of the phrase "Hanshan Temple outside Gusu City, the midnight bell arrives at the passenger ship" in a night-mooring near maple bridge by the Tang Dynasty poet Zhang Ji.
There are many historical sites here, including the stone carvings of Zhang Jishi, the stone statues of Hanshan and the inscriptions of Wen Zhiming and Tang Yin. This is a famous blessing resort. Every year1February 3 1 day, Hanshan Temple will hold a bell ringing ceremony on New Year's Eve, ringing the bell 108 times.
2. Tiger Mountain
It has been more than 2500 years since, and it is a must-see place to visit Suzhou. The most famous are Tiger Hill and Tiger Hill Sword Pool. Relying on beautiful scenery and a long history and cultural landscape, it enjoys the reputation of "the first scene in Wuzhong".
Tiger Hill is known as the Leaning Tower of Pisa in the East, and the four characters "Tiger Hill and Sword Pool" are said to have been written by Yan Zhenqing. Tiger Hill holds several flower exhibitions and temple fairs every year, and a large number of famous Chinese and foreign flowering plants will be exhibited with beautiful scenery.
3. Humble Administrator's Garden
The largest representative work of Suzhou classical gardens, together with Beijing Summer Palace, chengde mountain resort and Suzhou Lingering Garden, is called the four famous gardens in China. The park is centered on water and surrounded by mountains and trees.
The east is spacious, the west is beautifully built, and the middle is centered on the pool, which is the essence of the whole park. The southern part of the park is a traditional architectural pattern in the south of the Yangtze River, with Suzhou Garden Museum, the only garden museum in China. Special activities such as the Rhododendron Festival, the Lotus Festival and the Off-season Chrysanthemum Exhibition are held in spring, summer and autumn every year.
4. Jinji Lake Scenic Area
China's largest inner city lake is crowded with tourists who come to the lake for a walk, shopping and delicious food every day. Newcomers also like to take wedding photos here. This scenic spot has four entrances. Generally, you can enter the park from the west entrance, and there is a bicycle rental point when you get out of the subway. If you want to ride around the lake, you can rent a bike here.
Gong Li Dam is the only long dike of Jinji Lake in Suzhou, which retains the traditional architectural form of Suzhou folk houses, and there is Gong Li Dam International Commercial Water Street nearby. The Jinji Lake Bridge at night is not to be missed. The colorful digital waterfalls made by high-tech means such as digital lighting flow down and the scenery is beautiful.
5. Guanqian Street
Located in the center of Suzhou ancient city. The business in this area is prosperous, and there are many famous shops and historic sites. Clothing skirts, headgear jewelry, shoes and hats, towels and socks, fruit and food, bonsai artworks, glassware and so on are all available. It is a commercial, cultural, religious and tourist center of the city with strong local color.
