The easternmost part of Huainan City is located in the east of Wangci Village, Kongdian Township, datong district, on the center line of Gaotang Lake, the westernmost part is located in the west of Houhaizi, Shangtang Town, Fengtai County, bordering Lixin County, the southernmost part is located in the south of Huaishuzhuang, Fenglou Village, Shouxian County, bordering jin an district, Lu 'an City, and the northernmost part is located in the center line of the main channel of Cihuai New River at the junction of Fengtai County, Mengcheng County and Lixin County.
Huainan culture
Huainan is rich in cultural heritage. During the Western Han Dynasty, Liu An, the king of Huainan, recruited wise men in Bagong Mountain, wrote books, compiled Huainanzi, an ancient encyclopedia of China, and invented China gourmet tofu.
There are many places of interest in Huainan, including the "Five Great Monuments" praised by Chinese and foreign archaeologists (namely, ancient battlefields, ancient tombs, ancient Shouzhou kilns, ancient Maoxian caves and paleontological fossils). Among them, the Battle of Feishui is a famous example in military history, and the flower drums and lanterns in Huaihe River Basin are known as "Oriental Ballet".
