It is not only a kind of food, but also symbolizes reunion and perfection, as well as family harmony.
the origin of tangyuan
tangyuan originated in the song dynasty in China. At that time, Mingzhou (now Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province) began to eat a novel food, that is, black sesame seeds and white sugar were used as raw materials. First, black sesame seeds were ground into powder, then lard and white sugar were put into the mixture one after another and kneaded into balls to make stuffing, and glutinous rice flour was used to knead it into a circle outside. After cooking, it tasted sweet and delicious.
Tangyuan was very precious in the Song Dynasty. Jiang Baishi once wrote in a poem, "The distinguished guests look at the Imperial Street with a hook curtain, and the treasures in the city come for a while, and the flowers are arranged in front of the curtain for five lines, so they can't refuse to return without money." And the treasure in the poem refers to glutinous rice balls.
