In Greek mythology, Pisces represents the incarnation of Aphrodite and eros in the water. Aphrodite turned into a fish and hid in the Nile to escape the attack of Tifeng, the son of Gaia, the goddess of the earth. Later, she found that she had forgotten to take her son eros with her to escape, so she went ashore to find eros. In order to avoid being separated from her son, she tied their feet together, and then they turned into fish and dived into the river. Afterwards, Zeus lifted Aphrodite's first incarnation of fish into the air to become Pisces, while the two fish tied together with urrows's incarnation were called Pisces.
