Where is the Tujia ancient village in Djaballah?
In Tujia language, "Gaballah" means "a beautiful and beautiful place". Yabala Tujia Ancient Village Scenic Area is located in Laoche River, Miaoertan Town, Longshan County. It consists of Laoche, Yabala and Liangjiazhai, and belongs to the cultural relics of Shang and Zhou Dynasties in Miaocheng. There are many ancient Tujia villages in Gaballah, and many ancient Tujia dwellings are embedded here. It is the only well-preserved and most active area of primitive Tujia culture in Wuling Mountain. Known by folklore experts as "the natural museum of Tujia primitive culture" and "the first Tujia village in China". The Tujia ancient village in Gaballah is surrounded by mountains and waters, fishing boats sing late, and the folk customs are simple, just like lotus leaves lying between mountains and rivers and pastoral areas. Today, there are still primitive and quaint streets and lanes in Ming and Qing Dynasties, Tujia Diaojiao Building with unique style, and splendid national cultures such as ancient waving dance, Maojia Temple and Dongdongkui. Quiet and peaceful ancient towns in Ming and Qing dynasties, passionate Tujia folk customs and original national culture are condensed into an antique genre painting and a meaningful style poem. Laoche Village is located at the intersection of Car Wash River and Yinfang River. Laoche Ancient Village consists of three natural ancient villages: Laoche, Yabala and Liangjiazhai. After the car wash river and the Yindifang River meet, they are collectively called Laoche (Sun) River, and the three rivers are shaped like "people". If the car is regarded as a point, three rivers and one village form a "Tai". The whole ancient village is gossip-like. This village is a dam alluvial by a river, surrounded by mountains. Mild climate and abundant rainfall provide a good environment for the growth of animals and plants. The forest coverage rate in the village is 67%, including American Pinus ponderosa, Phoebe bournei, Photinia rubra, Rendou (Renmu), Pu Shu, Pterocarya stenoptera, Pistacia chinensis, Oak, Golden Marble and other wild Chinese herbal medicines, such as Panax notoginseng, Phellodendron amurense, Coptis chinensis and Eucommia ulmoides. There are many rare wild animals in the mountains, such as white-necked pheasants, pangolins, hedgehogs and South China rabbits. Three mountains cover three rivers, three rivers surround three villages, and one bridge connects three districts. This is the overall pattern of Laoche Ancient Village.

Laoche River is a picturesque place. Labala in Hexi, Laoche River in Hedong, Liangjiazhai, Yepu and Trucks, like lotus leaves, lie between mountains and rivers and listen to the sounds of nature. This primitive Tujia natural village is home to thousands of families with surnames. The main surnames are Peng, Liang and Xiang. The Tujia people here work at sunrise and rest at sunset, living a life of men plowing and women weaving. At one time, there was a prosperous scene of "women working hard and weaving many families". Today, it is still "the sound of birds and looms", just like a paradise. It is no wonder that the reporter of China Geography magazine traveled all over Wuling Mountain and praised Laoche River as the first Tujia village in Wuling.
