drinking Alone with the Moon

Li Bai

from a pot of wine among the flowers, I drank alone. There was no one with me.

till, raising my cup, I asked the bright moon, to bring me my shadow and make us three.

alas, the moon was unable to drink, and my shadow tagged me vacantly;.

but still for a while I had these friends, to cheer me through the end of spring.

I sang. The moon encouraged me, I danced. My shadow tumbled after.

have sex when you wake up, and then I was drunk, and we lost one another.

shall goodwill ever be secure?, I watch the long road of the River of Stars.

Appreciation of Poems

Poems describe the scene of drinking Alone with the Moon. Drinking Alone with the Moon was originally lonely, but the poet used his rich imagination to make up the moon and his own figure into a so-called "three people". From the word "flower" to the word "spring", from "discretion" to "song" and "dance", the lonely environment is rendered very lively, which is not only vivid with pen and ink, but more importantly, expresses the poet's broad-minded personality and feelings of being good at self-relieving loneliness.

On the surface, it seems that the poet can really enjoy himself, but the back is full of infinite desolation. The poet is lonely enough to invite the moon and the shadow, but it is not enough. Even in the years to come, it is impossible to find someone to drink with. Therefore, we can only make friends with the moonlight figure forever, and make an appointment to meet again in the fairyland in heaven.

Li Bai's five-character ancient poems have a wide range of themes and colorful styles. Earlier, we introduced two poems, Sauvignon Blanc and Long March, which he wrote by studying Yuefu folk songs, and this one, drinking Alone with the Moon, is a full display of Li Bai's elegant charm, romantic poetic style and personal spiritual world. The whole poem consists of fourteen sentences, the first eight of which are flat and the last six are faint. As far as the genre of five-character ancient poetry is concerned, the length of drinking Alone with the Moon is not long, but it is full of the pursuit and yearning of a lonely and lonely soul. Li Bai is the only one who appears in this poem, but through monologues, it has set off layers of emotional waves in the depths of the soul, which is both ups and downs and spontaneous, and has always been regarded as the passionate representative of Li Bai's poems.

wine and the moon are Li Bai's most faithful companions who have never left for a moment in his life. No matter where he goes and where he is, he will always leave a touching work about wine and the bright moon. Such as "tulips in Lanling wine, amber light in a jade bowl" ("Work in a Guest"); For example, "Let's buy wine and Bai Yunbian by boat on the moonlight in Dongting" ("Five Poems of Visiting Dongting with Assistant Minister Lang Ye of the Family Uncle Punishment Department and Jiasheren of the Chinese Book"); For example, "When will there be a moon in the sky? I'm going to stop for a cup and ask ","I only hope that when the song is right for the wine, the moonlight shines in the golden bottle "("asking for the moon "); Such as "oh, let a man of spirit venture where he pleases, and never tip his golden cup empty toward the moon!" ("Coming into Wine"). Through these well-known poems, Li Bai has created a unique realm that is both romantic and somewhat sad, and this wine-moon complex is brought to the extreme by this song "drinking Alone with the Moon".

At the beginning of the poem, our poet was in a very pleasant environment under the flowers and the moon, and "from a pot of wine among the flowers", among the flowers, drank a pot of fine wine and got drunk. But unexpectedly, the flowers and the wine made Li Bai feel unhappy. What are the reasons? It's because of I drank alone. There was no one with me! Li Bai has a famous saying, which can be used as a footnote to this poem. "Two people are drinking flowers in the mountains, and one cup after another" ("Drinking with a secluded person in the mountains"). With the company of like-minded "lovers", we can go to the drunken hometown together in the flowers and enjoy the endless fun of drinking. But at the moment, there is no companion, so I have to drink alone. But he had a brainwave and created a brand-new realm for himself: "till, raising my cup, I asked the bright moon, to bring me my shadow and make us three"! From the lonely "no blind date" to the laughing "three-person", Li Bai completed it in a gesture. Look at him, when he raised his glass, the moon became his partner, and when he bowed his head, his figure accompanied him. How natural and unrestrained, how comfortable, how vivid the face of "fallen immortals" that is hard to find in the world can be imitated and imitated by others? The moon in the sky is Li Bai's eternal confidant in the spiritual world and a frequent visitor in Li Bai's poems. He once recalled his first understanding of the moon when he was a child: "When I was young, I didn't know the moon, so I called it a white jade plate" ("Gulang's Journey to the Moon"); When he was away from home, the moonlight reminded him of his wanderer's homesickness: "so bright a gleam on the foot of my bed, could there have been a frost already?. Lifting myself to look, I found that it was moonlight, sinking back again, I thought suddenly of home "("Silent Night Thinking "); In the autumn moon, he once poured out endless lovesickness: "behind her closed casement, why is she still waiting, watching through its crystal pane the glow of the autumn moon?" ("Jade Clan"); In the moonlight, he can become a bosom friend with the ancients: "I meditate under the moon for a long time, but my eyes are thin when I meet it in ancient times" ("Singing under the moon in the west tower of Jinling City"). Therefore, when reading "till, raising my cup, I asked the bright moon, to bring me my shadow and make us three", we will not be surprised and puzzled at all. Instead, we believe that this is the real Li Bai, the pure, romantic and out-of-touch "poetic immortal" Li Bai who lives in his own spiritual world! Only he can do such an incredible move, and only he can write such an elegant poem.

"alas, the moon was unable to drink, and my shadow tagged me vacantly;. But still for a while I had these friends, to cheer me through the end of spring. " Although Li Bai invited the moon to be his companion, it is a pity that the moon is far away, and it can only be hung in the high sky, and it cannot be drunk with Li Bai; Although the shadow is close at hand, it will only follow silently and can't really communicate. At this moment, in this situation, the poet is still lonely in his heart. Perhaps all geniuses are quite different from ordinary people in their ideological realm, and their pursuit and exploration are often misunderstood. For example, Li Bai refused to be a royal scholar in order to achieve his ideal of making contributions, and whitewashed the drunkenness of Tang Minghuang and Yang Guifei. Therefore, he did not enjoy the prosperity of the capital, refused to eat fine clothes and food, and insisted on wandering around the rivers and lakes, even saying that he was "I would cross the Yellow River, but ice chokes the ferry will climb the Taihang Mountains with snow" ("it is hard to go"). This is not asking for trouble. Perhaps it is this ignorance of practice that makes him end up as a "long-flowing yelang". Du Fu, a great poet who met Li Bai once, wrote many poems to express his admiration and concern for Li Bai: "our capital teems with officious people, while you are alone and helpless and poor" (Two Dreams of Li Bai). However, even if Li Bai falls to the level of "while you are alone and helpless and poor", he will never regret or bow to the secular world. He wrote a poem "Sitting alone in Jingting Mountain": "Birds fly high, and the lonely clouds go to leisure alone. "I never get tired of seeing each other, only Jingting Mountain." No matter whether it is a living bird or an inanimate cloud, as long as it can move, it will go away from Li Bai without hesitation, leaving only that motionless mountain. Even so, Li Bai can sit comfortably in the mountain, cultivate one's morality and cultivate one's self-interest, and refuse to go with the world. Therefore, when Li Bai failed to persuade the moon to drink and communicate with the figure, he thought on second thought that being able to drink and write poems under the flowers and the moon and stay away from the interference of secular distractions was not the most desirable pleasure when he was drunk in Chang' an. Then, on this beautiful spring night, together with the bright moon in the sky and the figure in the underground, eat, drink and be drunk. But a "temporary" shows that Li Bai also clearly knows that this kind of relief is only temporary. However, it is probably because of its brevity that it is even more precious and cannot be easily let go.

"I sang. The moon encouraged me, I danced. My shadow tumbled after. Wake up together happy, drunk after each dispersion. Shall goodwill ever be secure?, I watch the long road of the River of Stars. " The following poems have changed from flat rhyme to flat rhyme, and their emotions have become more intense. At this time, Li Bai, who was half drunk, was getting better and better. I saw that he was singing and dancing, and he was naive. He looked up with his eyes drunk, and the moon in the air seemed to be dancing with the rhythm of his singing. He looked down with his eyes drunk, and the figure on the ground was swaying with his dancing. All this seems to show an inexplicable desolation and loneliness, and he feels that it is not easy to have them to accompany him. The word "making love" shows the poet's satisfaction with this. Indeed, good wine makes Li Bai forget the troubles of the world, and the bright moon brings spiritual comfort to Li Bai. In this unaccompanied "intercourse", the poet finally got drunk, and at the last moment before getting drunk, Li Bai realized that as long as he was drunk, all the moons and figures would return to their original forms, and this temporary combination centered on him would no longer exist. However, he didn't lose heart at all, because his relationship with the moon and shadow was long-term and stable. From this, we can know that this is not the first time that Li Bai visited drinking Alone with the Moon, and it will not be the last time, because the life path that Li Bai chose was doomed to be accompanied by loneliness and poverty at that time, so he had no one to rely on except himself. This is also the reason why he admires Lu Zhonglian, a lone hero who is disloyal to the Qin Dynasty, the most in his life. Therefore, he wants to say that "the moon lingers for a long time, and the eyes are rare since ancient times", so he can only introduce the "heartless" things like the moon in the sky and the figure on the ground as lifelong confidants, which is really ruthless at this time. Making love with heartless things naturally shows the coldness of the world and the warmth of human feelings at that time. It can be imagined that Li Bai was greeted and boasted when he was appointed as an academician in Chang 'an, but when he left the capital and was imprisoned, he suffered from the coldness of the world. However, through these monologues and monologues, people can clearly feel that Li Bai is still frustrated and his original intention remains unchanged. As a representative of the poets in the prosperous Tang Dynasty, Li Bai was highly praised by later generations precisely because of the innate broadmindedness and superb romance shown in his poems. Emperor Qianlong also affirmed "drinking Alone with the Moon" from this angle, saying, "Curiosity through the ages can be obtained from the present. "Although I was down and out, I was never broad-minded."

drinking Alone with the Moon is famous for its ups and downs of feelings and simplicity. Throughout the poem, its emotional waves can be clearly divided into several ups and downs. The first sentence begins with Yang, "from a pot of wine among the flowers", and the second sentence is followed by "I drank alone. There was no one with me". But the next two sentences: "till, raising my cup, I asked the bright moon, to bring me my shadow and make us three", sweep away this cold and lonely without blind date. This situation at the end of the first part of the poem is a scene from cold to lively after ups and downs and hard work. This first emotional ups and downs can be regarded as the prologue, the arrangement of "under the moon" scene and the appearance of "characters" (including virtual moon and figure). Although there was a little trouble, it was carried out satisfactorily along the trajectory imagined by the poet himself.

The second part of the poem is also four sentences, and the poet has also experienced an emotional cycle from sadness to joy. From lamenting the unsatisfactory situation of the two greeting wine companions, the moon and the figure, to the selfless state of completely ignoring and enjoying themselves. The second wave of ups and downs in poetry is the formal development of the plot and the implementation of "acting alone". At this stage, the poet, relying on his warm but lonely state of mind, is persistently pursuing an ideal realm if it is impossible to be perfect, because in the lonely and lonely situation, only the "indissoluble" moon and the "shadowy" shadow can no longer be perfect, but at least it is also an ideal realm. Although the "temporary companion" in the sentence of "but still for a while I had these friends" more or less reveals the helpless regret in the author's heart, "to cheer me through the end of spring" shows that the poet has adjusted his mentality, thus realizing his "self-satisfaction" without any external factors this time.

The third wave of ups and downs in poetry is the climax and sublimation of solo action. At this stage, the poet has been completely intoxicated by the realm of "drinking Alone with the Moon" created by himself. The messy dance steps and wandering moonlight are as drunk as waking up, and the poet will soon fall asleep in the wine country under the flowers and the moon, but at the last moment of his lucidity, he did not forget to be with those two again. "shall goodwill ever be secure?, I watch the long road of the River of Stars", this kind of persistent feelings, we only have a preliminary understanding of Li Bai's life and pursuit, it is possible to truly understand.

The second success of this poem is that it is straightforward, pure and unpretentious. In this regard, Shen Deqian commented as follows: "It is pure nature to blurt it out. This kind of poem, people are not easy to learn "("Tang Poetry "). Indeed, after Li Bai became famous, many literati wanted to follow in his footsteps, but in the end they always gave up halfway. Therefore, for thousands of years, people can only express their heartfelt admiration for Li Bai's artistic realm of "clear water produces hibiscus and natural carving".

for Wang LUN

Li Bai

Li Bai was about to leave in a boat when he heard singing on the shore.

Peach Blossom Pond is deeper than thousands of feet, which is not as good as Wang Lun's!

In the 14th year of Tianbao (755), Li Bai traveled from Qiupu (now Guichi, Anhui Province) to Jingxian County (now Anhui Province) to visit Taohuatan, and local Wang Lun often brewed wine to entertain him. When he left, Wang Lun came to see me off again, and Li Bai wrote this poem to leave.

The first half of the poem is narrative: first write about those who want to leave, then write about those who see them off, and show a picture of leaving. The first sentence "by boat" indicates that it is a waterway; "Will want to go" indicates that it is when the canoe is ready to go. This sentence makes us seem to see Li Bai saying goodbye to people in a boat about to leave the sea.

who's seeing me off? However, the second sentence is not as direct as the first sentence, but uses a curved pen and only says that it hears singing. A group of villagers came to see me off while walking and singing to the beat. This seems to be beyond Li Bai's expectation, so he said "suddenly smell" instead of "remotely smell". Although this poem is more subtle, I only hear its voice, but I don't see its person, but people are already coming out.

the second half of the poem is lyrical. The third sentence is connected from a distance, which further shows that the ship is placed in Taohuatan. "Deep thousands of feet" not only describes the characteristics of the pool, but also foreshadows the conclusion.

Peach Blossom Pond is so deep and profound that it touches people's feelings of leaving others. I can't forget Wang Lun's deep feelings, and the deep feelings are naturally linked. At the end of the sentence, I burst out with "not as good as Wang Lun's", which vividly expressed sincere and pure affection by comparing things. The pool is "deep in thousands of feet", so how deep is Wang Lun's friendship with Li Bai? Interesting. Qing Shen Deqian appreciated this sentence very much. He said, "If Wang Lun's love is compared with thousands of feet in Tanshui, it is a common language. The wonderful scene is only in a transition. " Obviously, the beauty lies in the word "less than", and the beauty lies in the use of figurative techniques instead of metaphors, which turn intangible friendship into vivid images, ethereal and aftertaste, natural and true.

This little poem was deeply appreciated by later generations, and "Peach Blossom Pond Water" became a common language for later generations to express their feelings. Because of this poem, there are many beautiful legends and relics for tourists to visit in Taohuatan area, such as the Tage 'an Pavilion with the inscription "Tage's Ancient Shore" on the east coast, the fishing platform under the rainbow stone wall on the west coast and so on.

Qingming Festival

Du Fu

During Qingming Festival, there are many rains, and pedestrians on the road want to kill their souls.

Excuse me, where is the restaurant? The shepherd boy points to Xinghua Village.

Jiangnan Tongzhi records that Du Mu once went to Xinghua Village for drinking when he was the secretariat of Chizhou, which is what the poem refers to. There are scenic spots such as Duhu Lake and Southeast Lake nearby.

This poem is about a "pedestrian" who has left his hometown, and

abstains from drinking to drown his sorrows in the spring rain. In the poem, pedestrians, restaurants, shepherds, apricot

flower villages, mountain roads and bays, and the spring rain are floating, which constitute an interesting

"Qingming misty rain painting".
