Wanqingsha is rich in agricultural and sideline products, and the delicacies made from fresh local agricultural and sideline products have strong local characteristics. The lotus roots newly cultivated in Panyu are large and very pink and are a major local specialty. Many restaurants use it to prepare special dishes, attracting many diners from Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macao. Among them, lotus root_fired pork belly, lotus root_duck meat, and stir-fried lotus root slices with southern milk are all famous local dishes. The most special one is mung bean stuffed with lotus root. The chef first boils the mung bean and peels it, then stuffs it into the lotus root hole, adds special ingredients, pours the lotus root into the pot and then serves it on the plate. This dish is fragrant and delicious.
