in these three countries, I have experienced and studied yoga respectively. Before I set out, I searched the internet for information, but the information about this area was scarce, so I would like to share my experience with you here, hoping to help you who also love yoga and travel.
"Traveling alone
makes people lonely and tired
but it is also free and risky"
Sri Lanka was not my planned yoga study place, but purely for traveling. On the way to Merissa and walking to the seaside, I stumbled across two places to study yoga. One was in a temple on the mountain, and it was taught by a young male teacher in Sri Lanka for two hours at 18Rs (about 8 RMB). I have only had one class in this school, and I don't feel very good. The teacher is a bit like just copying and pasting what he has learned and passing the time in a hurry. I haven't been there again, but maybe everyone will have different feelings. Those who want to attend can go to the seaside, and sometimes someone will set up a billboard to recruit students there and lead the students there.
the other place is in a restaurant called surf &; In the hotel of Yoga, 15Rs (about 65 RMB) for one hour, taught by European and American teachers. Because I was a little disappointed with the first one, the other one didn't experience it and couldn't give me any reference experience. Fortunately, I got a yoga mat for free in the first shop, and stayed in Marissa for half a month, so I practiced in the hotel by myself.
I recommend a hotel called Sun and Trees in Marissa. The boss is very good and the breakfast is great. If you are careful about the road from this hotel to the seaside, you can find both yoga learning places.
Yogurt and coconut are highly recommended when you go to Sri Lanka. They are delicious and cheap.

"My Indian yoga teacher said,
No matter what happens in your life,
accept it completely,
and be grateful for it."

As a yoga holy place, there are indeed many good teachers in rishikesh, India. Before I went there, I was lucky enough to meet a girl who had studied yoga in rishikesh for several years. She generously recommended some good teachers and accommodations without taking too many detours. Combined with my one-month study there, I would like to tell you something about rishikesh.
? First of all, I want to say that India is not as terrible as Chinese people think, so don't look at it with prejudice. But no matter where you go, it is very important to be cautious. In Delhi, you also met a liar with first-class acting skills. However, it is a fact that India is dirty. Cattle have the freedom to walk and shit everywhere, and the environment is certainly not as comfortable as that in China. If you want to study there, you should be mentally prepared.
? There are also many monkeys in rishikesh, so you have to hide them in your bags to buy food and fruit, or you will be "robbed". On several occasions, the monkeys came to our room in an aboveboard way to rummage for food.
? Back to the topic, in rishikesh, the main schools of yoga are Iyengar Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga and Hatha Yoga ... If you want to learn Yin Yoga and aerial yoga, please move to Bali.
? I mainly attend two teachers' classes. One is Ashish (assisi), who teaches Iyengar yoga. It is said that his brother is very famous, but he lives abroad all the year round. assisi is a very casual but creative teacher with a wild way, which is worth recommending. One class is 2 RMB, which lasts for one and a half hours to two hours. His classroom is located in the green hotel, and Google is not as handy as its mouth in this small place of rishikesh. Ask more people, and most people can point it out for you accurately. Another teacher is Surrender, a bearded teacher, who teaches hatha yoga. He is a very steady teacher. He always prays before each class, and talks about philosophy after the class. He also knows how to encourage students with gestures. One class lasts for 2 hours and a half to two hours. Very recommended. In addition, there are some teachers, I didn't have time to go to class to experience, but they are either very famous in the local area or have a good reputation. One is usha, who is Swiss, but has been living in rishikesh to teach Iyengar yoga. It is said that she is very strict and many people don't love her classes. In addition, her students teach elementary classes, which is also very good. They teach in Omkarananda patanjala, and I have to say that the attitude of the front desk is very bad. We just left, so we didn't experience usha's class. The price list will be expensive in one class, and it will be more cost-effective to buy it in a week.
? There is also a teacher named kamal who teaches Ashtanga yoga, but Bishop TTC, this teacher has done a very commercial job. I have never been to class, and I can see his advertisement when I go to the river.
? These are the better teachers in rishikesh. Once I went to the library to buy books, the boss would talk about the good teachers in rishikesh. These people are all on the list. Some teachers have their WeChat, so you can add my recommendation card to you.
Finally, there is a mysterious teacher, who was mentioned by our Portuguese friend after leaving rishikesh. He is old, but just like a Taoist, he not only teaches yoga, but also meditates. Under his teaching, my friend has made great progress. However, when he left, the teacher had a car accident, but in spite of this, he helped save several people. Although he was badly hurt, when the students went to visit him, he still smiled easily. I hope I can visit this master next time I go to rishikesh.
There are two bridges in rishikesh, and most of these teachers are on the Ram jhula Bridge. It is recommended to choose the accommodation there.
? Recommend two cheap accommodations with good environment in the local area (this is what we summed up after a few days of runaway). One is called Sudesh guest house, and the other is Anada guest house. It's hard to find. Ask someone. It's in the alley. We live in sudesh, the double room is 6 RMB, and we share 3 nights for each person, and the single room is about 4 RMB. There is a restaurant near these two hotels, which seems to be called oasis cafe. Vegetable sizzler is delicious. Every time I go to his house, I always order this, which makes me sick. There is also a restaurant called ayuverdic cafe, and musli is also very delicious, in another alley.
"Riding a motorcycle, sunbathing, surfing, wearing a bikini and going to a bar in Bali ... When I left for Australia, I caught up with the volcanic eruption in Bali once every 5 years and stayed at the airport for two days. It's trip worthwhile. "
In Bali, I mainly stay in Ubud. Because I live near Radiantly Alive, I study there. The environment is not bad. The classroom is in the big bamboo forest room, and the trees outside the window are lush. You can get in touch with many schools of yoga, such as aerial yoga, flowing yoga, Ashtanga yoga, hatha yoga and Yin yoga ... Some teachers are not bad, but they are not likely to give one-on-one advice like Indian teachers. If the price is about $1 per class, I choose an unlimited card for one week, which is 42 RMB per week. I usually go to 2-3 classes every day. A class lasts one and a half hours. In addition, yoga barn in Ubud is also famous, but I have never experienced it.
If you go surfing in Long Valley, there is also a yoga school there. Before, there was a family that wanted to experience it, but it didn't succeed and forgot its name.
? Comparing these three countries, I personally think that India, as the birthplace of yoga, is the most suitable place to study, with cheaper prices and more teachers. The environment in Bali will be better. Like India, there are many Europeans and Americans who live there all the year round to study yoga. Of course, because all these countries teach in English, it is best to have a little English foundation, at least to familiarize yourself with the English vocabulary of yoga.
