World Chefs Day (October 20th).
Chefs Day was proposed by the World Federation of Chefs (WACS) at the 31st World Chefs Federation Congress held in Dublin, Ireland in March 2004, and October 20th of each year was designated as World Chefs Day.
During Chef Day, the "famous snacks", "famous dishes" and "famous banquets" of each country will be judged, and the highest award in the chef industry: the Golden Tripod Award will be awarded.
The "Chef Festival" event began in 1990. It was originally organized by non-governmental organizations in twelve major cities across the country, including Jinan, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Hefei, Nanchang, Changsha, Chengdu, and Xi'an.
The purpose of the Chef Festival is to further promote Chinese food culture, strengthen technical exchanges in the catering industry across the country, create a good atmosphere that respects chefs and advocates innovation, and encourages chefs to continue to work hard for the development of my country's catering industry.
Established in 2004, the four-day 14th China Chef Festival and China Cross-Strait Food Festival was grandly held in Fuzhou on October 20.
The 14th China Chef Festival, with the theme of "Advocating professional ethics, promoting communication and innovation, promoting food culture, and promoting catering development", is co-organized by the China Cuisine Association and the Fuzhou Municipal People's Government.
The World Chefs Federation also sent Mr. Frank, the Asian executive committee member, to congratulate and deliver a speech. At the same time, it announced that it had accepted the unanimous proposal of representatives from more than 70 countries including the Chinese delegation, and the World Chefs Federation decided to change October 20th every year.
Celebrated as World Chefs Day.
The main purpose of establishing World Chefs Day is to raise public awareness of the profession of chefs around the world.
At the same time, we hope that governments and social groups will organize chefs to use the opportunity of World Chefs Day to conduct extensive publicity, and organize some non-profit cooking competitions and demonstrations to do some charity activities to increase people's awareness and status of chefs.
