Why should we offer all kinds of wonderful clothes, beautiful music, delicious food, lamps, etc. to the Buddha and Bodhisattvas?

What you sow, you reap.

Where to plant? Plant in a blessed field. A blessed field is equivalent to fertile land. If you plant thorns, they will grow quickly. If you plant good seeds, they will bear fruit quickly.

The Three Jewels are the greatest field of blessing. Making offerings to the Three Jewels will yield the best good results. However, if one develops contempt for the Three Jewels, slandering the Three Jewels will also produce the worst seeds.

All offerings are to inspire respect and sincerity in our hearts. They are the objects of practice and help to adjust our hearts.

There are usually three types of "field of blessings" in Buddhist scriptures: the first is "field of respect". It is said that "those who respect others will always respect them." If we respect others, others will respect us.

The main representative of Jingtian is the Three Treasures, and we respect the Three Treasures.

But you must know that the respect for the Three Jewels must be applied to all living beings. How respectful I am to the Buddha, I have the same respect for all living beings. This is right. What you do is called Samantabhadra Practice.

The difference between Samantabhadra's practice and the ordinary Bodhisattva's practice is that Samantabhadra's practice is done with a sincere heart, a pure heart, and an equanimous mind. There is no superiority or inferiority.

Seeing the Buddha and all sentient beings as equals, and being respectful all the time will yield incredible rewards. This is called respecting the field.

The second type is "favor". Favor is represented by parents, who are our biggest benefactors.

Know how to repay kindness, and use the intention to repay your parents' kindness to all living beings.

Fellow Buddhist practitioners, no matter which sect or sect you practice, you should recite the Hui Xiang verse every day. In the verse, it says, "Repay the fourfold kindness above and relieve the sufferings on the three paths below." Do we have the intention of repaying kindness? Our hearts are still there.

No, there is no act of repaying kindness! How should we repay kindness? With kind hearts, kind thoughts, and kind deeds.

We strive to cultivate kindness throughout our lives. We use this behavior to repay the kindness of our parents, teachers, and all sentient beings for providing us with all the living conditions. This is the field of grace.

The third type is the "field of sorrow". We must do our best to help all suffering beings in the world and help them escape poverty. This requires material help, and more importantly, teaching help.

You should know that material help only helps temporarily and solves his immediate pain.

The ancient Chinese said very well: "He who is in trouble does not help the poor." We must help him when there is a disaster in front of him, but there is no way to save the poor.

If a poor person needs to be saved, it will be a matter of his life.

But how can we help the poor? Educate him and teach him technical skills so that he can make a living independently.

Therefore, running a school is the only way to help the poor and help them break away from their delusions and become enlightened. Once they are enlightened, they can live a perfect and happy life.
