Cenxi Classic Chicken is a geographical indication protected product.

Classic chicken is a famous historical chicken in Guangxi. It is the only high-quality local chicken in Guangxi that has not introduced any foreign blood. It is one of the main longevity foods in Cenxi City. The commercial broilers of Classical Chicken are all raised by farmers in the mountains, forests and orchards for pollution-free standardized rotational grazing, so that each group of chickens shows the characteristics of classical chicken production of "entering the mountains and forests to run wild, returning to nature and gathering flavors". It has the characteristics of classical chicken such as small size, gorgeous appearance, love to peck and be active, tender meat, fresh and mellow taste, thin skin and fine bones, moderate subcutaneous fat, and particularly strong chicken flavor.

Classical chicken was rated as "Guangxi's Quality Product" in 2003. Since 2005, it has been continuously recognized as "Pollution-free Agricultural Products" by the Agricultural Products Quality and Safety Center of the Ministry of Agriculture. In 2006, it was rated as "Guangxi's Famous Brand Product" In 2008, it ranked first in the selection of "Top Ten Most Delicious Foods in Wuzhou City". In 2010, it was rated as "Guangxi High-Quality Agricultural Products" and "Gold Medal Famous Chicken" in the first China Local Chicken (Local Chicken) Food Culture Festival. In 2011 It was rated as one of the "Top Ten Famous Products of Leisure Agriculture in Guangxi" in 2016, and was rated at the 2nd China High-quality Chicken (Native Chicken) Food Culture Festival Carnival and the 10th High-quality Chicken Improvement Production and Development Seminar (Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong) It is the "Famous Chinese Chicken".
