Madeleines!

There seems to be a rule: any famous dessert is always accompanied by a legend, and Madeleine is no exception.

In 1730, the gourmet Polish King Leguczynski was in exile in Commerce. One day, his personal chef disappeared when dessert was about to be served.

In desperation, a maid temporarily baked her best snack and served it. The result was very popular with Leguchensky, so she named this snack after the maid, Madeleine.

Perhaps it is true that as the legend goes, Madeleine came first, and then the cake named after Madeleine came into being.

However, Madeleine seems to be born to sound like the name of a delicious dessert, just like Estee Lauder is born to be the name of a cosmetic.
