I am teaching in the Philippines 10

? We were picked up by the leaders of Jizhong Academy on Friday.

The director who picked us up, Director Ma, was tall, had a beautiful smile, and had a tanned complexion, making him look like the sister next door.

Director Wu has fair skin, wears the same black-rimmed glasses as me, smiles, and looks very elegant and humble.

Both teachers can speak Chinese, and we finally don’t have to look dumb and keep nodding and shaking our heads helplessly.

? When we arrived at school, we were first taken to our dormitory. Everyone we met was very kind and attentive. The doorman took the initiative to help us deliver our bags to the dormitory.

Director Ma also introduced someone to us, who seemed to be a long-term helper at the school. If we encounter difficulties in life, we can go to him. We call him guya (big brother). After checking in, we received 8,000 Philippine dollars.

This month’s living expenses were paid, and fingerprints were recorded at the sign-in desk. This reminded me of the days in China when people rush to sign in every day.

Fortunately, we live on campus.

Don't worry about checking in late.

We live together with a girl from Sichuan, Liu Yangsha, and a girl from Fujian, Wu Yaru, both born in the 1990s.

I admire them very much and think it is very valuable that they know how to choose themselves at such a young age and can resolutely leave the protection of their parents and go out to practice.

Our Sichuan girl is very good at cooking, and I got to see her good cooking skills after staying here for a few nights.

I eat meat once every half a month in China, but she has already eaten beef, chicken, and shrimp in less than three days, and the food she cooks is very delicious, so I should learn to cook from her.

This will also be a great reward for teaching abroad!

Child Wu Yaru was hired. She came a year earlier than us, so she is already very familiar with the situation here.

She plans to take the qualification certificate for teaching Chinese as a foreign language and studies quietly every day. She admires the huge cosmic energy in her small body. Children born in the 1990s cannot underestimate it.

They are thoughtful, opinionated, and capable. A girl, far away from her hometown and relatives, can study and work quietly in a foreign country, and can have ideals and goals and slowly realize them. She is definitely not an ordinary person.

She is small and always has a big smile on her face. I asked her why she smiled so happily. She said that she was infected by the people here. The people here are very optimistic.

We also feel that the tone and expression of her speech are really Filipino. Haha, maybe this is also a characteristic of southern Fujian people, but I am just not knowledgeable.

In the past two days, Yaru has been our senior. She took the trouble to ask us questions. She also took us to the vegetable market and took us to MOA. We asked her for anything we had to ask. She almost regarded her as the school leader.

, then I remembered that she was also a foreign teacher, just like us, so we were embarrassed for disturbing her like this.

Thinking about this time last year, she also came here alone, gradually getting familiar with it, and slowly learned to communicate with others.

Seeing that she can already greet and talk to the school teachers skillfully, I think she is really awesome.

Her cuteness, kindness, and patience are touching.

? After Yaru took us out shopping a few times, she drew a topographic map and marked it with place names and precautions. We looked at it carefully and decided to go out and find the way by ourselves, so we started at the vegetable market and walked to buy groceries.

While buying daily necessities, you can also take a closer look at the people in Manila.

The taxis, buses, tricycles, and motorcycles running all over the street are dazzling, and the noise from the car exhaust... Really, although the people here do not smoke or drink, the car exhaust is very powerful, and it is more choking than smoking. I

I regret not wearing a mask when going out.

We bypassed the vegetable market and arrived at a residential area. There were many tricycles parked on the roadside, as well as many car repair shops. Various car and motorcycle parts were displayed greasy and dark, and there were various small restaurants or food stalls.

The stall, which is an unnamed food, has people eating inside. It is probably similar to the roadside stalls we have there. It is convenient and fast, but the food hygiene situation is not optimistic.

We successfully found a good large supermarket, which contained various kitchen condiments, grains, oils and non-staple food, meat, eggs, milk, etc... After walking around for a long time, the two of us returned home with a full load, and almost another 5,000 Philippine dollars.

Well, money spent is money spent, and I can finally cook and eat beautifully.
