There are more than 6 steles in Yanmiao. Two of them are the "New Temple Monument" and the "Monument made by Yanzi's parents and sealed by Dayuan" established by the Yuan Dynasty. Both monuments are carved in ancient Mongolian and Chinese, which describes the situation of Yan Hui and his parents who were sealed at that time, which is of certain value to the study of ancient philology. Extended information:
The history of Confucius Temple in Qufu can be traced back to the second year of Confucius' death, that is, the forty-two years of Zhou Jingwang (the seventeenth year of Lu Aigong, the first 478 years). The specifications of the ancestral temples are in accordance with the provisions of the Zhou Dynasty ritual system: "There are seven temples for emperors, five temples for princes, three temples for doctors, one temple for scholars, and no temple in Shu Ren." The temple of scholars and doctors is set on the east side of their residence, which is within the same gate as the residence.
when Confucius was in politics in Lu, he was the highest "big scout", but he never returned to politics after traveling around the world, so his status is still "Buyi".
do all descendants of Confucius live in Confucius' house?
No, only Duke Yansheng of every generation can live in Confucius.
Confucius' mansion is the residence of the eldest son and grandson of Confucius' descendants, and also the official office and private residence of Duke Yansheng in past dynasties. In the early days, there were only three old houses of Confucius, and their descendants worshipped Confucius in the humble old house and built houses according to the temple. Today's Confucius House was gradually developed and expanded with the continuous improvement of Confucius' status in the long years to come.
Confucius' lineal branch is dedicated to Confucius, and originally lived in his old home in Queli, which was called "attacking and sealing the house". With the rise of Confucius' position and his descendants' official positions, the residence of Confucius is expanding day by day.
during the Cao Wei period, the temple was "widely used as a house to house scholars" and taught. By the end of the Northern Song Dynasty, there were dozens of houses for descendants of Confucius. By the Jin Dynasty, the residence for descendants of Confucius had buildings in the east of the temple, such as guest house, guest seat, zhaitang, curtilage hall, Enqing hall and Shuanggui hall.
