Su Shi is a bold and unrestrained poet.

Zizhan, Su Shi, also known as Hezhong, was a lay scholar from Dongpo. During the Northern Song Dynasty, he was a native of Meishan, Meizhou, and was born in Luancheng, Hebei. Su Shi was elected in the second year of Jiayou's reign. During the Shenzong period of the Song Dynasty, it was located in Fengxiang, Hangzhou, Mizhou, Xuzhou and Huzhou.

2. Su Shi is a poet of the "Bold and Unconstrained School", one of the Han poetry schools formed in the Song Dynasty of China. Ouyang Xiu, Wang Anshi, Su Shi, Su Che, etc. all used "boldness" as the representative when they commented on poems in Hengwen. Although Su Shi was not the founder of the "bold school", the word "bold" was used by Su Shi for the first time to comment on poetry, and it was Su Shi who created a peak of "bold". It can be said that Su Shi was the heroic beginning of Song Ci.

3. Su Shi unabashedly expressed his views on society and reflections on life in his literary works, especially his poems, which were written most freely. Among the more than 2,700 Su poems, the intervention in social reality and reflection on life are very prominent. Su Shi held an "untimely" attitude towards various irrational phenomena in real life, and criticism of reality has always been his main creative theme. What is even more commendable is that Su Shi's criticism is not limited to the New Deal, nor is it limited to the present. He also criticizes the long-standing bad government and bad habits of feudal society, showing a more profound critical spirit.
