Shantou City governs Chenghai (now divided into Chenghai, Jinping and Longhu districts), Chaoyang (now divided into Chaoyang, Chaonan and Haojiang districts), Nan 'ao County (formerly Raoping County), Chaozhou City governs Raoping (outside Nan 'ao County) and Haiyang (now divided into Chaoan and Xiangqiao districts), and Jieyang City governs Jieyang (now divided into Rongcheng and Qiaojie).
