Tangqi is rich in loquats, which are famous for their large fruits, thick flesh, juicy taste, sweet taste and rich nutrition. According to "Tangshu Geography", they were used as tributes in the Tang Dynasty.

The main production areas are in Tangnan, Dongtang, Zhanjiaqiao and other townships in Tangqi.
