Husband and wife lung slices are a traditional dish in Sichuan.
According to legend, in the 193s, Guo Chaohua, a native of Chengdu, and his wife made a living by selling cold lung slices and walked around the streets, which was very popular in the local area because of their good selection of materials and careful production.
Later, a small shop was opened. Because it was run by husband and wife, people gave them the name "Husband and wife lung tablets", which represented the beautiful meaning of sharing weal and woe.
