Sanxiang Town is affiliated to Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province. It is located in the south of Zhongshan City. It borders Tangjiawan Town in Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai City in the southeast, Tanzhou Town in the south, Shenwan Town and Banfu Town in the west, and Wuguishan Street in the north.

At the end of 2020, Sanxiang Town had a permanent population of 235,000 people and a registered population of 60,000 people.
In the Song Dynasty, Xiangshan belonged to Wenshun Township, Dongguan County before it was established as a county, and it belonged to Fengle Township after it was established as a county.
In January 1963, it was renamed Sanxiang Commune and Shenwan Banfu was separated.
In August 1974, the mountainous area construction headquarters was separated.
In November 1983, it was renamed Sanxiang District.
In December 1986, it was changed to Sanxiang Town.
