Taipei City is located in the north of Taiwan Province Island, in the center of Taipei Basin, and is adjacent to Taipei County. Covering an area of 272 square kilometers, the city is the political, economic, cultural and educational center of the province and the largest city in Taiwan Province.

In 1875 (the first year of Guangxu reign in Qing Dynasty), Shen Baozhen, an imperial envoy, established the Taipei House here to take charge of the administration of Taiwan Province, hence the name "Taipei". In 1885, the Qing government established a province in Taiwan Province, and Liu Mingchuan, the first governor, made Taipei the provincial capital. After 1949, it is still the seat of the highest administrative organ.

Taipei is the industrial and commercial center of Taiwan Province, where the largest companies, enterprises, banks and shops in the island have their headquarters. With Taipei as the center, including Taipei County, Taoyuan County and Keelung City, it has formed the largest industrial production area and commercial area in Taiwan Province.

Taipei is a tourist center in northern Taiwan Province. Besides Yangmingshan and Beitou Scenic Area, there are also the largest Taipei Park and the largest Mucha Transport Park in the province, which covers an area of 89, square meters at the earliest. In addition, the privately-run Rongxing Garden has a considerable scale. Jiantan, Bei 'an, Fushou, Shuangxi and other parks are also good places to visit. There are many places of interest in Taipei, including Taipei City Gate, Longshan Temple, Bao 'an Palace, Confucius Temple, Yinong Palace and Yuanshan Cultural Relics, all of which are beautiful places suitable for sightseeing.

Nantou County, located in the center of Taiwan Province, is the only county in Taiwan Province without a sea, but it occupies many beautiful scenery in Taiwan Province. Sun Moon Lake, one of the most famous scenic spots in Taiwan Province, is located in Nantou County.

nantou county covers an area of 41 square kilometers, with many mountains and few plains, surrounded by mountains and green mountains, and scenery everywhere. The picturesque Sun Moon Lake in four seasons, Taroko Park, which is famous for its marble canyon, Yushan Park, which has a beautiful peak, and Sanshan National Scenic Area with unique local geographical characteristics ... Here, a mountain, a water, a grass and a tree are all specially cared for by nature, moist and warm.

Sun Moon Lake is located in Yuchi Township, Nantou County. It covers an area of more than 1 square kilometers and is 33 kilometers around the lake. It is bounded by Lalu Island (Guanghua Island), and the northern part is shaped like a sun wheel and the southern part is shaped like a moon hook, hence its name.

Sun Moon Lake is almost synonymous with the scenery in Taiwan Province. Surrounded by mountains, the trees are lush, the pool is crystal clear, and the sky is shining up and down. There are small islands emerging in the lake, forming a beautiful landscape of "green mountains with clear water and green pearls in the Ming Lake". Its middle height of 76 meters above sea level makes Sun Moon Lake look like a picturesque landscape with distinct changes in mountain scenery, and it is a boat trip to the lake.

Sun Moon Lake originated in Hehuan Mountain. At the earliest, Sun Moon Lake was just a small lake, and the Japanese occupied the times. In order to generate electricity, the Japanese intercepted the flowing water of the turbid water stream from the martial world closest to Sun Moon Lake, built a 15-kilometer-long underground waterway, crossed the mountain of Shuishe, and entered Sun Moon Lake, flooding many hills, forming today's Sun Moon Lake. Because Sun Moon Lake is formed by injecting water into depressions, surrounded by mountains and winding waterways, the landscape is very good. The water in Sun Moon Lake is mainly used for power generation, with a power generation capacity of 5 billion kWh a year, accounting for 56% of Taiwan Province's hydropower generation, with a power generation benefit of 12.5 billion yuan. As it is a rare living reservoir in Taiwan Province Island, the water in the reservoir is pumped and stored by Taipower every day for power generation and recycling, just like living water. The water quality is transparent, and algae plants are not easy to breed, while fish and shrimps such as curly waist fish, Chili fish and pond shrimp breed very quickly.

Sun Moon Lake is surrounded by the lake, which is about 33 kilometers. In the past, there was only the Sun Moon Lake Highway. In September 1995, after the completion of the Moon Lake Highway, the Sun Moon Lake Highway was also built. Visitors can drive or ride motorcycles to visit various scenic spots along the lake. There are two toll stations on the highway around the lake: one is in Ritan, near CITIC Hotel; One is at Tantou, the southernmost point of Sun Moon Lake. Starting from the Ritan Toll Station, clockwise tour the scenic spots around the Sun Moon Lake, followed by Wenwu Temple, Peacock Garden, Riyue Village (Dehua Society), Xuanzang Temple, Ci 'en Tower and Xuanguang Temple.

Legend has it that a long time ago, there were two dragons in this big pool, who captured the sun and the moon and played with them as beads for fun. From then on, the world was dark and people could not live. Later, a young Gaoshan man named Da Jian Ge came to the lake with the help of the boating girl Shui She Mei. One hit the dragon's head hard with a golden arrow, and the other stabbed the dragon's eyes with an embroidery needle, taking back the sun and the moon. However, no matter how hard they throw it into the sky, the sun and the moon just can't rise. Later, the two of them pulled two palm trees from Yushan Mountain and finally put the sun and the moon on the top of the sky. Brother Dajian and sister Shuishe have become two mountains, guarding beside Datan, which are Dajian Mountain and Shuishe Mountain. Later, it was discovered that the small island in the pool divided the Great Lake into two halves, half shaped like a sun wheel and half shaped like a moon hook, so the pool was named "Sun Moon Lake".

Alishan * * is composed of eighteen high mountains and belongs to the branch of Yushan Mountain. Sunrise, sea of clouds, sunset glow, forest and alpine railway are collectively called the five wonders of Alishan, and the cultural resources of Zou aborigines have added a lot of wonders to Alishan.

Sunrise

The positions and times of the four famous sunrise seasons in Alishan are different (due to the revolution of the earth). The Zhushan Sunview Tower is the best place to watch the sun. To go to Zhushan, you can take the Zhushan Sunview Train at Alishan Railway Station or Numping Station (about 25 minutes' drive) or climb the steps from the Numping Park Sunview Trail archway (about 4 minutes' walk, with signs along the road), and there are signs in front of the Sunview Tower Square.

Sea of Clouds

Alishan Sea of Clouds, one of the eight scenic spots in Taiwan, usually appears at sunrise or dusk when the weather is clear and there are clouds; Layers of clouds undulate, covering nearby peaks, like an island emerging from the vast sea. The best season to watch the sea of clouds is autumn.

Sunset

The reason why the sunset glow in Alishan Mountain is gorgeous is that the air is thin and the solar radiation is strong at an altitude of more than 2, meters, resulting in strong ultraviolet rays in the air, which makes the blue sky in the sky more beautiful than the flat ground, and the sunset glow is relatively gorgeous.

forest

Alishan is rich in forest resources, among which the virgin forest of Alnus cremastogyne is the most precious. Affected by the height, the distribution of plants in Alishan is tropical, warm, temperate and cold. The area from the flat land to Independence Mountain at an altitude of 8 meters is a tropical forest, and the remarkable plants in this area are mostly longan, acacia, Chinese fir, Dendrocalamus latiflorus and Phyllostachys pubescens. From Independence Mountain to Pingzana, which is 1,8 meters above sea level, it belongs to the scope of warm zone forest, and the representative tree species are camphor, bamboo and nanmu, while the Cryptomeria fortunei forest around Fenqi Lake and Crossroads is a special flora in this area. Temperate forest refers to the area from above Pingchena to below 3, meters above sea level, in which Abies-Hemlock, Platycladus formosana, Pinus armandii, Taiwania formosana and Acer negundo (Shenmu) are mainly distributed.

After the Japanese discovered Alishan forest in 1899, this virgin forest was turned into an important forest farm. After the recovery of Taiwan, it was forbidden to cut down for conservation and developed into a forest recreation area. During the Alishan flower season from mid-March to mid-April every year, the whole mountain is decorated with beautiful and colorful flowers, such as mountain cherry, Yoshino cherry and double-petal cherry. While walking in on the boulevard, where the ancient trees are towering, you can not only learn from the forest fenduo essence, but also listen to the beautiful songs of birds such as thrush, warbler, paridae and thrush (Alishan is one of the top ten best bird watching places in Taiwan Province, belonging to the middle altitude bird area). Even the thousand-year-old trees that have been cut down in the area are worth enjoying. Attractions such as Sister Lake are certainly not to be missed.

Alpine Railway

Alishan Forest Railway is one of the most famous mountaineering railways in the world. The whole line climbs from Chiayi, 3 meters above sea level, to Alishan, 2,216 meters high. It passes through 49 tunnels and 77 bridges, and you can enjoy the changes of plant species in different forest zones such as heat, warmth and temperature and the beautiful mountains and valleys along the way. When the train runs to Independence Mountain by propulsion, in order to accommodate the steep mountain shape, it must spiral around Independence Mountain (about 5 kilometers long and 2 meters high) and reach the top. When turning up the mountain, you can see that the Zhanghuoliao station, which is twitching from side to side, is still at the foot of the mountain, and then the railway leaves Independence Mountain in a figure of eight. However, the railway zigzagged forward from Pingzhena Station to the first lane. After three lanes, the train sometimes dragged forward, sometimes pushed back, and finally reached Alishan, so it was called "Alishan train hit a wall".

In 1986, the Zhushan branch line, which was opened to traffic by Taiwan Province people, started from Alishan New Station, meandered between high mountains with an altitude of 2,216-2,451 meters, and turned Gaoyue to Zhushan at the intersection. This is the first high-mountain railway built by Taiwan Province people, which is dedicated to Zhushan's day trip.

the white forest is a wonder of the stone monkey recreation area. After the forest fire, the short plants were burned out, leaving only the tall pines and Chinese fir trees to dry up. After being weathered by the wind, sun, rain and frost, the burned wood turned white and became an eye-catching landscape. Arrange an hour-long hiking tour to see the ancient camphor pits, bamboo shoots and charcoal kilns in the recreation area, and you can understand their manufacturing process through the explanation board. As for the pavilions such as Lingfeng Pavilion, Wangxiang Pavilion and Qixia Pavilion, they are good places to listen to Songtao or overlook the scenery of Caoling. In addition, the "Taiwan One-leaf Orchid Exhibition Area" shows the ecological history of rare wild orchids in Taiwan Province. Eupatorium odoratum takes Alishan as its growing area, and it blooms from February to April every year, so it is named after only one leaf grows under the flower.

Chiayi was originally named Zhuluo. In 1622, Yan Siqi, a native of Zhangzhou, Fujian, led people to land in Bengang (now Yunlin North Port and Chiayi New Port), which is one of the oldest Chinese settlements in Taiwan Province. In 1786, in the fifty-first year of Qianlong reign in Qing Dynasty, Lin Shuangwen revolted, and Zhuluo soldiers and civilians tried their best to defend the city. Afterwards, the Qing court renamed Zhuluo as Chiayi in recognition of the local soldiers and civilians, and this historical site is still preserved in the Yimin Temple in Chiayi City. The Tropic of Cancer passes through Chiayi and Hualien counties in this province, and there is a monument (located at 12 degrees 24 minutes 46 seconds 5 east longitude and 23 degrees 27 minutes 4 seconds 51 north latitude) in Liaocun village, Shuixiang, Chiayi. In addition, the internationally renowned Alishan Scenic Area is also located in Chiayi County. The area is the cypress forest area, and the Shenmu over a thousand years old can also be seen here. You can also visit the whole forest area by taking a small mountaineering train and shuttle through the embrace of nature. The sunrise on Zhushan shows the splendid beauty of clouds and morning light among the mountains. The beauty of the valleys and mountains in Ruili Scenic Area is another novel feeling.

Going to the seaside, the endless white salt fields along the cloth bag coast are crystal clear and moving under the sunlight. Only when you go to Linjiayi in person can you fully appreciate such beautiful scenery.
