Ruoergai Prairie Road Travel Guide and Recommended Routes

If you now want to experience the endless prairie, if you don’t know which prairie to choose, please read this article of "Bian Xiao". What I want to talk about today is the Roergai Prairie in Sichuan, which fully demonstrates the elegance and enthusiasm of the border people.

1. Transportation strategy

There are several transportation methods to Zoige:

Adjective (abbreviation of adjective) can fly to Jiuhuang Airport in Songpan County;< /p>

b. 8 hours of driving from Chengdu;

c. 500 kilometers of self-driving, 8 hours, Chengdu - Wenchuan - Li County - Hongyuan - Ruoergai. Starting from Wenchuan, there is no expressway behind. Most of it is a mountain road, but the road condition is okay. Occasionally there are debris left by landslides on the road. If it wasn't an SUV, it would be slower.

2. Food recommendations

Ruoergai County belongs to Aba Prefecture, located on the northeastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and in the northern part of Sichuan Province. It is known as "the oasis of the northwest Sichuan Plateau".

There are many scenic spots, three of which we have personally visited: the Zorgere Prairie, the first bend of the Yellow River, and the Flower Lake.

Ther Prairie is the second largest grassland in China after Hulunbuir Grassland. The famous natural wetland Huahu Lake is located on the thermal prairie. The sky was gray and wild. Cattle and sheep are seen in the wind and grass.

What we eat the most are all kinds of pasta: fried noodles, mixed noodles. In fact, there are quite a lot of delicious ones, such as the ones below.

a. Yak yogurt. When you come to Tibetan areas, you must try yak yogurt. Yogurt is a favorite food of Tibetan people.

B. Yak meat, authentic yak meat. Occasionally you will see cow hair. Very normal. You have to eat local yak meat. It tastes really good.

c. Yellow River fish, Zoige is located in the Yellow River Basin. Glad you came here to eat Yellow River fish. Yellow River naked carp is a special delicacy here, with delicious meat and delicious soup. Cold water fish is a typical Sichuan dish. The soup base is made of flowers and chili peppers, and a lot of chili peppers are put in it, which makes you feel so good.

d. Honey: 35 per kilogram. The bosses are very honest and don't let us buy royal jelly. They think we are not used to wasting it after we buy it.

3. Must-see attractions

Ruoergai Prairie

This is a magnificent jade inlaid in the northwest border of Sichuan. This is a magical land. This is a gorgeous picture, this is the Ruoergai Prairie, this is the oasis on the northwest Sichuan Plateau. Covering an area of ??nearly 30,000 square kilometers, it is composed of meadows, grasslands, and swamps. The Red Army's 25,000-mile Long March passed through here. Zoige Prairie gathers a large number of migratory birds and wild animals such as white swans and sika deer, and the river bends and sways. The grassland is sunny, with sunrise and dawn, small tents, cooking smoke, bison and sheep, pastoral songs, and intoxicating style.

The First Bend of the Yellow River

The First Bend of the Nine Bends is located in Tangke Township, Ruoergai County. The Yellow River and the Bai River merge here to form the First Bend of the Nine Bends, facing Gansu across the river. The Jiuqu area has many islands and forests of red willows, which is extremely beautiful. As the sun sets in the west, the first bay of Jiuqu glows red in the sunset, and the returning yellow ducks and seagulls pass by, forming a scene of "the setting sun and the solitary heron flying together, the autumn water and the sky are the same color"

Huahu

Huahu is located next to the 213 National Highway between Zoige Prairie and Langmusi. It is a natural sea on the Gerba Prairie with an altitude of 3468 meters. The Baer Grassland is the second largest grassland in China, second only to Hulunbuir, and adjacent to it are the other two Haizi. The smallest one is called Tsoergan, the largest one is called Tsoerha, and Huahu is in the middle.

Langmusi

Langmusi is a Tibetan Buddhist temple. Langzang means fairy. Because there are rocks in the cave that look like graceful jade girls, the people call it fairies, hence the name. It is located across the Bailong River from Gerdi Temple in Sichuan, Langmusi Temple, which was very popular in the early years. There is a mountain in front of the temple, which looks like a monk's hat and is unique.

From 2010 to 2010, the winter was generally below freezing and the temperature was very low. Down jackets and thermal underwear are essential.

Nearly 90% of the population in Tangke is Tibetan. When traveling in ethnic minority areas, it is most important to respect local customs and residents.

Do not approach herdsmen’s tents on the grassland easily. Collies are ferocious. If you want to visit, you must say hello in advance and ask the herdsmen to tie up their sheepdogs.

It is best to bring some dry food with you on the way, because it will be difficult to find a place to eat if you are in a hurry at noon;

Even if it is sunny in Ruoergai, the wind is very strong. It is recommended to wear a hat to avoid being blown away by the wind.

Ruoergai is very beautiful in autumn. The air is crisp and clear, with golden patches everywhere as far as the eye can see.

I wish you a pleasant journey!
