The legend of Tomb-Sweeping Day eating Qingming Cake is that Wen Jian, the emperor of the Ming Dynasty, fled from Nanjing to Guizhou after the "Jing Nan Change" and watched the white clouds disappear. He cut his hair and became a monk in Baiyun Mountain, Changshun County, and prayed to the Buddha all day long. After the local people in Changshun learned that Emperor Wen Jian had disappeared from Baiyun Mountain and cut his hair into a monk, people went up the mountain to worship Buddha on February 19th and June 19th of the lunar calendar every year. Every time they go to Baiyun Mountain to worship Buddha, the local people bring homemade cakes that everyone thinks are the best as sacrifices. Occasionally, after tasting the food cake brought by everyone, Emperor Wen Jian was full of praise. He knew that the main ingredient of this cake was Qing cuisine, so he named it "Qingming Ba". From then on, Tomb-Sweeping Day became famous and became a necessary food for people to celebrate Tomb-Sweeping Day and worship their ancestors. Later, Qingming Ba spread to Anshun, Huaxi and other surrounding areas, and gradually became one of the favorite foods of the masses.
In fact, before and after Tomb-Sweeping Day, there was nothing to eat. At this time, some wild vegetables are mixed with rice noodles to make Baba, and this time is the time when the vegetables are fresh and tender, so picking out the vegetables to make Baba is becoming more and more, and it has gradually become a custom.
