Daoxiang Village was born in Guangxu period, AD 1895. At that time, Guo Yusheng, a native of Nanjing, founded the "Daoxiang Village South Goods Store" in Qianmen Cannongji, Beijing, which was the first store in Beijing to produce and operate Nanwei food. Later, it was closed at 1926 for various reasons, but the Nanwei Cuisine School initiated by Daoxiang Village in Beijing survived. 1984, Liu Zhenying, the fifth descendant of the Sect, established Daoxiang Village in Beijing.
Daoxiang village pays attention to "four seasons and three festivals", selling zongzi on Dragon Boat Festival, moon cakes on Mid-Autumn Festival, rice cakes on Spring Festival and Yuanxiao on Shangyuan. Pay attention to the authenticity of the materials. Walnut kernel should be from Fenyang, Shanxi, because the peach kernel there is white and thick, with rich flavor and sweet in the mouth. Roses should belong to Miaofeng Mountain in the west of Beijing, because the petals of roses there are thick and fragrant, and they must be picked with dew when the sun doesn't come out. Longan should be from Putian, Fujian; Ham should belong to Jinhua, Zhejiang, and so on.
