What do Sichuanese mean by calling my cousin Shanrui?
Sichuanese call Lao Biao Shan Rui, which means: fool fool. It should be a special meaning unique to Sichuan dialect, and it can hardly be found in other Sichuan dialects. The role of "Shanrui" comes from the Singapore TV series "Birds with the Same Life at the Tianya" and is a mentally retarded person. It is estimated that because of the higher ratings later, "Shanrui" once became a unique title for calling others "fools" in Sichuan dialect.
