According to Liao Liehui, the attending physician of the dermatology department of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, winter dermatitis belongs to the category of pruritus, which is a neurological disorder skin disease with pruritus as the main factor. It usually occurs in autumn and winter. When the temperature changes sharply, it often begins to itch after taking a hot bath or undressing when sleeping, and there is no primary damage in clinic. Secondary skin changes may occur due to scratching, such as secondary congestion, skin scratching, lichenization, pigmentation, abscess or lymphadenitis.
Winter dermatitis is not only related to climate change, but also related to other factors, including vitamin A deficiency, thyroid insufficiency, too much clothing, sensitivity to wool, stimulation of soap with too strong alkalinity, too frequent bathing, too hot water temperature or infrequent bathing, etc.
Prevention and conditioning
Liao Liehui reminded the general public that due to the complex etiology of pruritus, both in vivo and in vitro, it is necessary to pay attention to the skin irritation caused by pathogenic factors, pay attention to diet conditioning, and do a good job in skin care to avoid the onset. To this end, the following points should be noted:
1. Pay attention to the influence of climate: especially the invasion of cold wind, the warm bedding and the stimulation of sweat, you should adjust your clothes in time to reduce the stimulation of climate environment on your skin. Underwear and underwear are made of pure cotton, and should be loose and breathable. Do not wear rubber, plastic and nylon stockings.
2. Keep the indoor air fresh. Avoid contact with or inhalation of special substances in the environment, such as urushiol, pollen, dust mites, etc. Pay attention to skin hygiene, avoid using alkaline cleaning soap (liquid), and choose neutral cleaner;
3. Avoid taking a bath too often, especially in winter, and it is not advisable to use overheated water for ironing. Anal pruritus and pruritus vulvae should be washed with warm water after defecation, and should not be washed with soap.
4. Diet should be light, and irritating diets such as tobacco, wine, strong tea, coffee and spicy food should not be adopted. Animals such as fish, shrimp, crab and beef should also be eaten less or not. Eat more vegetables and fruits to keep the stool unobstructed. In the daily diet, add moisturizing products, such as Radix Adenophorae, Rhizoma Polygonati Odorati, Snow Ear, chinese forest frog and so on. It is particularly emphasized that people who like tonic in autumn and winter should not eat too much ginseng, radix astragali, longan pulp, donkey-hide gelatin, angelica sinensis, red dates, prepared rehmannia root, etc. unrealistically, so as not to violate the precept that "excess gas is fire"; Secondly, hot pot, stew, old fire soup, etc. are all right and wrong things.
5. Pay attention to maintain emotional stability, sleep properly, live a regular life, and be open-minded and cheerful when things go wrong. Try to restrain yourself, resist the temptation of scratching and avoid the damage to the skin caused by scratching.
