How to judge whether silica gel is food grade "/>;

1, smell method

Smell the silicone product close to your nose. One with a pungent smell is ordinary silica gel, and the other is food-grade silica gel. Ordinary silica gel has a pungent smell and is not environmentally friendly. Moreover, food-grade silica gel is nontoxic and tasteless, and belongs to environmental protection silica gel.

Step 2 pull hard

Take silicone tube as an example. Hold both ends of the silicone tube by hand and pull it in the opposite direction. If it turns white and smells pungent, it means ordinary silica gel, otherwise, it is food-grade silica gel.

3. Baking method

Except special silica gel, the highest temperature resistance of ordinary silica gel can only reach about 150 degrees, while food-grade silica gel can reach 250 degrees and 350 degrees in a short time.
