Pig-raising enterprises have lost money. The main reason is that the production cost of fat pig remains high, and the bottleneck of fat pig production is the high price of piglets. At present, each piglet used for pig slaughter is about 1.500 yuan, accounting for about 40% of the production cost. Usually, the off-season of pork consumption after the Spring Festival will be delayed until the Dragon Boat Festival, so pig farmers will control the number of fat pigs at this stage to reduce losses. Third, in principle, the secondary fattening of fat pigs by enterprises is the main reason for the continuous decline in pig prices. After the Spring Festival, breeding enterprises found that the price of producing fat pigs continued to drop, so they hoarded fat pigs that could be slaughtered and continued to breed. Big fat pigs produce more meat than pigs slaughtered normally. Generally speaking, the meat output of two big fat pigs is equivalent to that of three normally slaughtered pigs. The second fattening makes the supply of pork exceed the demand, and the price will continue to decline. Originally, after the Spring Festival, it was the off-season of pork consumption. These two operations of the main enterprise have made the depressed pork market worse.
In the second half of the year, prices will rebound. First of all, the off-season of pork consumption will gradually end. In normal years, the consumption of pork will gradually increase after the Dragon Boat Festival, and the temperature will begin to drop during the Mid-Autumn Festival. At the same time, the college entrance examination has ended and the number of tourists has increased greatly. Pork consumption has reached a peak, and it has entered the peak season of pork consumption for one year since the Mid-Autumn Festival. People can go out to visit relatives and friends and have dinner with confidence, and the domestic tourism and catering industry have been rapidly restored, and pork consumption has been rapidly restored.
In the Qingming holiday just past, domestic tourism has recovered to 94.5% of the same period before the epidemic, and the number of tourists during the May Day holiday has exceeded 230 million. How much pork does the flow of so many people consume every day?
