How to make a lantern with four red envelopes is simple and easy as follows:
To make this cute little lantern, we need 12 red envelopes, a stapler, decorative red rope and Chinese knots .
The size of the 12 red envelopes must be consistent.
First, fold out four corners on the red envelope. Turn the patterned side up and fold the four corners of the red envelope inwards.
If we are really not sure, we can fold it in half like this first and make a mark, and then we can easily fold triangles of the same size.
After folding them all, take out four of the red envelopes and arrange them in a cross shape like this, and then use a stapler to staple the four overlapping corners together.
After the four corners are nailed, the bottom of the lantern is ready.
The next step is the critical step! Take a red envelope, find the long side, connect the two corresponding corners to the two red envelopes at the bottom of the lantern, and fix it with a stapler.
After nailing it, the intersection of the three red envelopes will be an equilateral triangle.
Use the same method to pin 3 more red envelopes.
Use the remaining 4 red envelopes to form the top of the lantern in the same way as the bottom of the lantern.
Put the rope through the middle of the top, then tie a knot, and the red rope will be fixed to the top of the lantern. In the same way, fix the Chinese knot at the bottom of the lantern.
Finally, use a stapler to connect the two completed parts diagonally, and a cute little lantern is ready.
Expansion:
1. Prepare six red envelopes of about the same size, scissors and tape.
2. Align the bottoms of the six red envelopes, and use scissors to cut the tops of the six red envelopes into six equal-sized red envelopes.
3. First fold the four corners of a red envelope into a small triangle.
4. Using the same method, fold the four corners of the other five red envelopes inward into small triangles.
5. First, tape the two adjacent small triangles of the two red envelopes together.
6. Use the same method to glue all the two adjacent triangles of the six red envelopes into a lantern belly.
7. Use scissors to cut a slender strip from the scrap material, and stick tape on both ends.
8. Glue the slender strips to the inside of the two red envelopes on opposite sides to serve as lantern handles.
9. Cut a thicker rectangle from the scraps, tape one end with tape, and cut the other end with scissors into many thin strips to serve as lantern spikes.
10. Glue the lantern spikes to the bottom of the lantern belly, and the red envelope lantern is ready.
