A friend gave me an air fryer, and I really like it. I can bake meat, fry all kinds of frozen food, and use it for many purposes, and it saves oil.
One of the most satisfying things for me is to make "French Fries". It's the same as the ones you put in the fryer, not so crispy, but the flavor is good enough.
Materials to prepare (1 person): 3 potatoes, 2 tablespoons of canola oil, 1 tablespoon of frying powder, a pinch of vanilla salt
Practice:
1. Cut the french fries into strips, remember not too thin, a little thicker. Soak in water and set aside. To release the starch to be more crispy.
2. After soaking for 10 minutes Remove from the water and drain, preferably on absorbent paper.
3. Sprinkle in the fried flour and mix well. Do not break the potato strips while stirring. Add 2 tablespoons of canola oil and mix well again. Finally, sprinkle with herb salt, or if you don't have herb salt, you can add some pretzel salt. The two salts have very different flavors.
4. Pour into the air fryer, it may stick to the walls of the pan, so it's best to line it with silver foil, then pour in the potato sticks. At 200 degrees, turn 20 minutes, open the lid and stir, and then turn for another 20 minutes, because the performance of the air fryer home is different, so it is best to make adjustments from time to time is better.
No need to fire the fanfare of french fries, to avoid the smoke and fire, and the flavor is not bad. I even made a pasta dish to go with the fries, and it was a real treat. Highly recommended! It's perfect for an afternoon snack.
Sprinkle some dried celery or purple orchids as a garnish. It looks good, doesn't it? It's not as crispy as the real fried ones, but it's good enough. But it's good enough. When you eat it while it's still hot, you won't be disappointed with how crispy the skin is. With ketchup, it's delicious. Let's try it.
