However, according to 19 14 Jiangsu Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce, Daoxiang Village was founded in Tongzhi for three years (1864). There are also different opinions about the store tricks in Daoxiang Village. According to past legends, Wang Qiugen, the shopkeeper, was inspired by A Dream of Red Mansions because his grandparents liked it. He thought that the raw materials of tea and cakes were rice and wheat, so he decided to name it Daoxiang Village. At present, Daoxiang Village produces candy, game, roasted seeds and nuts, pickled green salt and western-style candy, biscuits, canned food, dairy products and beverages. It also deals in 22 categories of tea and cakes with its own traditional characteristics, with more than 30 varieties/kloc-0, including 70 perennial varieties and more than 60 seasonal varieties, which change with the seasons of four seasons and eight festivals.
